BEST AMAZON JUNGLE TOUR - TARANTULAS, PINK DOLPHINS, & TAPIRS // ECUADOR TRAVEL VLOG

The Amazon Jungle in Ecuador is one of the most alive and dangerous places we have ever been! Pink river dolphins, piranhas, tapirs, sloths, howler monkeys, tarantulas, snakes, and SO many more animals and insects call Cuyabeno Reserve there home, and we spent four days here! We ate ants, swam with who-knows-what, and paddle boarded through a proper rainforest rainstorm.
Cuyabeno is possibly the best place to tour the Amazon, and the lodge we stayed at was tucked away far away from any other tour companies. We felt like we were properly in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, with a 2.5 hour boat ride between us and the nearest road. We got some epic amazon jungle drone footage to show just how massive and dense the amazon jungle truly is, and had an AMAZING time carefully exploring this bucketlist destination.

So glad you had a good time in the rainforest! I love that habitat, and, as you found, there are so many plants and creatures to see. Thing I always enjoy are the sounds, especially at night with the howler monkeys roaring, the strange calls of the night birds, and the millions of insects. All good stuff.

You know what that would have been very interesting to feel! Our guide says it will hurt like crazy for a couple days (if I recall correctly) and then you'll be fine. Maybe in another video we can try it and film the reaction 😆 although I'm not sure we're quite there yet haha

You won't regret it! Putting on those big rainboots and trekking in the jungle was super cool. You just never know what you're going to see 👀 And of course the paddle boarding in the river was super fun and a little bit freaky! 😬 🐟🐍

Yeah that was a neat experience and the rain made it feel so surreal. The temperature was neither hot or cold. It was probably around 25 degrees Celsius (77 f) during the day and wasn't as humid as we thought it would be. Overall a very comfortable temperature because it was never scorching. Awesome place 😋

That's awesome, we are so excited for you! We loved the jungle and all the creepy crawlies and animals it hid haha. We didn't see any in our group but I am willing to bet that there are loads of tours with solo travelers in them. You can always ask your tour company before you book to see how many are confirmed and how many solo travelers. They should be able to help you out :) enjoy!

They provided all the boots so we didnt need to bring any. All we needed was long pants and long sleeved shirts for the bugs during the nature walks but honestly they weren't that bad at all. We brought rain jackets too but they always had ponchos! Enjoy you're time 😁

We were there in April and stayed at Waits Lodge! Absolutely loved it! Not too wet and not too hot during that time.
