It's painful to see videos with 30 times the views that didn't put even a tenth of effort in the video as you did. Thanks for the awesome comparison! Based on some long-term issues with the Edifier's I've heard about, I'll be picking up the Liberty 4 NCs.

Thank you! You're absolutely doing your bit to change that by watching it and commenting though, which I appreciate a lot 🙌 I'm not sure Edifier is any worse than Soundcore in terms of issues precipitating in the long run, but regardless of vendor you can do some small things to help prolong the lifespan. I use some budget open-ears for running and gym to keep sweat away from the drivers on my main set as much as possible, and clean the battery connectors regularly so they aren't having to fight through sweat and dirt to charge properly. Only little things but they do make a difference. Thanks again for the support! 🙌

Having tried many of the buds in this list, the realme air buds pro 5 have by far the best sound quality due to dual drivers and excellent tuning. The earfun and soundcore are close but lack the extra dynamic due to single driver setup. They are however, more comfortable in the ear. I am still *getting used to *the realme buds and it shouldn't be that hard to love earbuds. But the compromise you make on sound quality for me is actually relatively significant.
@travispratt63272 ай бұрын
Gave a like cause this was very helpful. I’m looking for a pair for my motorcycle so noise canceling is the most important really. I bought a pair of soundcore space a40’s and I was underwhelmed with the sound quality, just felt metallic and compressed to me, but the deal breaker is they pop when wind noise is high, completely unacceptable. I’m also sensitive to sibilance and harsh treble and prefer a warmer sound, and I like the way the galaxy fe curve is with the rolled off highs so that’s what I’m leaning towards.

The Air Pro 4 might be a decent bet especially as there's no doubt a good black Friday deal available for them. They fare pretty well against this list for ANC, only falling short of the Liberty 4 NC. The sound is pretty good, although it can be improved with EQ. They are a little bulky compared to the OnePlus - I think I showed a comparison in my review of them (it came after this video unfortunately hence why they weren't included). I've kept all my favourites except the Oppo Enco X2, which sounded great but didn't fit me too well 😢 With Bluetooth earbuds the differences are very small after you've EQ'd them, compared to IEMs where there's much more the manufacturers can change to manipulate the sound. So I just go for what is comfortable - everything in that $50-150 category tends to sound OK, it's the other stuff that differentiates them like ANC, transparency, app experience, etc. I also kept all my favourite IEMs - still use SIMGOT EA1000 regularly, and Kefine Delci

Dude! This is awesome, but all of this information in a table format vs a video would be WILDLY helpful to help me compare the different brands... Think you'd consider it?
@ReganCipherАй бұрын
Possibly, but I'd have to charge a premium for it because it would definitely detract from my viewing figures, since mostly people are lazy and would prefer to be spoonfed over listening to a sample and deciding for themselves. If I lose viewing figures, I don't get free samples that I can sell on when I've finished the review, so instead of aiming to break even I'd have to accept it will cost me money to do this, which I can't really afford to do in the long run. I never wanted to go down the route of charging people for core content but maybe in the new year I'll put it out to a vote and see what people think.
@jldow1236Ай бұрын
@ReganCipher I totally get it! I think the videos with actual sound performance & quality would still get views. There's no outright best unfortunately, you gotta pick the one that best serves your needs. The Edifier sounds good and has strong ANC but the battery life is crap and they suffer a bit with occlusion. The Liberty 4 NC has the strongest ANC but has poor transparency mode, isn't great on calls and the sound is not great out of the box. The Oppo sound the best but the ANC is average and they are pretty bad on calls. The OnePlus and Realme aren't particularly strong on anything, but they aren't particularly bad on anything either. OnePlus Buds Pro 3 are coming, I'm hoping they will become the best choice, at least for now

Please i would like to know, how would the QCY HT05 compare to these buds sound wise. I learnt that the qcy ht05 sounds so good that it can compared to buds in 100dollar price range so how does it compare to these ones? Thank you.
@ReganCipher6 ай бұрын
Not that far off to be honest! The sound is a bit warmer than most of these, but with a bit of EQ'ing you can get it to sound like the Galaxy Buds FE for example, and unless you're listening to complex classical or rock with loads of midbass, then they can punch their weight with all of them. If you start pushing the bass hard you'll notice they don't slam like the NeoBuds Pro 2, which is to be expected as they (and most of these) use dual drivers, but for me they're good enough most of the time. Where something like HT05 falls a bit short of these is the overall experience - the ANC is a bit weaker, the call quality isn't quite as good and you don't get stuff like in ear detection and spatial audio. They feel a bit budget as well. I use the Feaulle ear tips I linked in my review of it and it definitely helps with the comfort and ANC performance though

@ReganCipher6 ай бұрын
I have both of them, but the only time I prefer the L4 NC is when I take a flight, as the ANC is much stronger. The L4 NC has lots of additional features - like 3D audio, customisable controls, etc, but I don't really use them. The Air4 Pro are more comfortable, the sound is cleaner, and they're slightly better on calls. I'd probably get the Soundpeats and save the cash unless you really need stronger ANC often or really value those added features. The only other thing to say is the Air4 Pro leaks sound more than the L4 NC, in case that's a deal breaker for you

Yeah I thought about adding in more depth in the latency section, but when you factor in separate tests for Android, iOS and Windows, it was just a bit too much to squeeze into one video. Might do a separate latency video at some point. Thanks for the feedback!

I have "Realme Buds Air 5 Pro". The headphones are nice, I want to buy a new headset, but I can't decide. "Realme Buds Air 6 Pro" is new, but there seems to be no difference between it and the 5 Pro in terms of sound quality. Is there any difference in terms of sound between the newly released OPPO Enco Air 4 Pro and Realme Air 5 Pro? The drivers that scare me are Realme uses 11mm woofer, 6mm tweeter but OPPO Enco Air 4 Pro has 12.4mm Dynamic One Driver. I think it's the dual driver model Enco X series of the oppo brand? Does a single driver have worse sound quality than a dual driver? My only expectation from the headphones is the sound quality and high volume. Good bass and good treble. Realme Buds Air 6 Pro Realme Buds Air 6 OPPO Enco Air 4 Pro OPPO Enco X3i OPPO Enco X2 (I don't know how Nothing Ear) I'm undecided between these models.
@ReganCipher4 ай бұрын
The only Oppo I have tried is the Enco X2. It sounds better than the Realme but it is old now, has quite weak ANC and bad call quality. Also , Oppo are no longer updating their firmware and it doesn't have a custom EQ. Dual drivers doesn't automatically mean better sound than single drivers, but in TWS it is often the case that the dual driver offerings perform well. There's less space in TWS compared to IEM due to battery, so there's not so much opportunity to do clever things with the airflow like you get on single driver IEMs. Personally, I would wait for the Enco X3. There's barely any difference between the the Realme 5 & 6 Pro, so that wouldn't be an upgrade, and I can't speak for the Enco 4 Pro but it doesn't seem like a big enough upgrade on paper. I'll try and get the Oppo 4 Pro in for testing, but a lot of these buds are aimed at the Indian market so getting them in the UK is sometimes difficult or expensive 😭 Realme was bad enough! Thanks for watching! 🙌
@tanerjames27654 ай бұрын
You're right, there doesn't seem to be any difference between the Realme air 5 pro and the 6 pro, except for IP55. It's funny :) Oppo Enco x3i appears on the official website, but I think there are no sales yet. i don't know if the x3i and x3 are the same product. Is Realme or oppo louder in terms of high volume db? (i know that loud noise is harmful for ear health, but sometimes loud noise is needed in the gym)

@tanerjames2765 yeah I reviewed the 6 Pro recently here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mofOlnZ6oblmZqs - only very small differences. X3i is the one I'm waiting for but I'm wondering if there will be an X3 too..... Let's wait and see. Regarding the volume, they are both measuring roughly the same through my binaural mics connected to my Sony Xperia 1IV
