If you want to catch a ton of carp make this bait!! You can pack it around your sinker or a special feeder which you can find off amazon/other retailers. Get out there and do some carp fishing! Its a ton of fun!

Thanks for the recipe! Curious, what do you actually put on your hook? This stuff looks great for chum, but wouldn't hold it's shape on a hook it seems.
@josephquinn73568 ай бұрын
I believe the author is using a “hair rig” set up with his (”Method”) or some other type of “Feeder” tactic. The “hair” part of the rig is tied such that a very short length of line is kicked slightly away from your hook. This “hair” is what you can slide whatever bait you chose (fake corn, real corn, boillies, etc... ) onto NOT THE HOOK - in theory, the carp shouldn't feel the hook until it's too late! I don't mean to step on the author’s toes here👍 He had a great post👍
@vladoutdoors11918 ай бұрын
Yup! This explained it really well. Need to make a video sometime to show that since its a pretty common question. You can just use a hook with corn and then ball the feed around the sinker, but I use a feeder since it holds the feed better. A big advantage to using the hair rig is that the carp always get hooked in the mouth by design which is awesome cause I release all my carp!
@Keegster1120Ай бұрын
Give creamed corn a try as well. I use that instead of the liquid that comes in the corn and it seems to intensify the corniness and make it stick to the method lead a little more like paste. Then I just strain the canned corn and just add the kernels.

How do I put it on my hook
@vladoutdoors1191 Жыл бұрын
So the easiest way would be to pack the bait around your sinker and put a few pieces of corn on a hook a foot down. The ball around your sinker will bring the carp in and make em go crazy. I use hair rigs and method feeders which is essentially a more complicated (slightly more effective) version of what I just described above

So is this used just to chum the fish and you would cast your corn into the chum area?
@callmesteveo31352 ай бұрын
Search up what a method feeder is, you put the chum on the method feeder which is above the hook on your line. The chum then disperses and leaves your hook with corn on it, solid way to do it

@@YelaDuck A lot of times I just leave it out until I get bit. Might re bait every hour? Just to get some more scent out there. As far as best time of year, it's definitely summer. @Sir_Canoli Жыл бұрын
I always just pack it into a ball and throw it out by hand then toss my rig where I chummed
@vladoutdoors11918 ай бұрын
I've found this to be perfect. Cool thing about this canal is that I can cast like 2 feet out and carp will still hit it so I can kind of watch how they're behaving. The packbait just kind falls apart and spreads out within a foot radius of my bait. I find for longer casts it definitely helps to hook your hair rig into the ball of pack bait, but for short range it doesn't really matter imo
@vladoutdoors11918 ай бұрын
If I'm not getting the amount of carp I'd expect at a specific spot I definitely start tossing extra chum in too to draw em in
