+TJ Arkham Knight's full ending, thematically, is probably the best ending to any Batman story. The best end to Bruce Wayne's story if you will. I get that to a lot of people it's frustrating that it was locked behind a thousand Riddler trophies, but in terms of the story it shows that the writers at Rocksteady really understood that character. It shows how the Batman legend can live on without Bruce, and furthermore evolve into something greater. (more so than Joseph Gordon Levitt just putting on a costume of his own)

12:00 That was what I felt like when I finished Persona 4 for the first time. I really didn't want the game to end. That and Snake Eater are my most favorite game endings. Snake Eater is the one two punch of emotions that very few in all of entertainment has ever done to me.

The "true" ending in Chrono Trigger, specifically Robo's fate. The whole idea being that if they saved the future there would be no reason for Robo to exist. Then to see him happy and with his lady robot all happy in the future made me overjoyed. Also Frog finally got respect.

DMC 3 final fight against Vergil, this was so dope. You had the ability to use all your favourite weapons, you could mimick Vergil's fighting style by that point and it was so rewarding to beat Vergil using the same techniques. And then fighting demons while the credit roll just to show-off one last time.

Agreed. Like the kid talked about how there could be no peace between organically and synthetics after I just created Geth and Quarian peace on my first play through. And the Leviathan didn't make any difference at all when if you played the DLC, you'd see how powerful and awesome they were but it really made like no difference.

*Best:* Mass Effect 1: That ending was flat out impressive. I knew another game was coming and it got me so hyped for it because Shepard basically goes: "The Reapers are coming and I am going to prepare to stop them." and then you get him in front of a backdrop looking so heroic and the music swells and the best ending music to a game starts to play. It is perfect. *Worst:* Syrim: I did all this heroic stuff and I get nothing. I tell them that Alduin is dead and they just say thanks and they go back to mindlessly wandering around. No cinematic; no nothing. I wanted so kind of fanfare to it all.

It's only the final ending if you played the trilogy. If you only played Infinite, the DLC ending wouldn't provide any more clarity than the main game's ending. Without playing BioShock 1, the DLC ending is bizarre since it had almost nothing to do with Booker DeWitt's story.

I hated that ending, i was so pissed off with the ending that when i realized how it was going to end i wanted to stop playing because i knew it was trying to shove its awful ending down my throat.

Pretty funny, I know halo 2 has an infamous cliff hanger ending. But it never really bugged me, we got so much out of that game that a culmination in the next one made some sense to me. And since the main story of 2 revolved around the arbiter, I thought that the fight with tartarus and his alliance with the humans completed that arc pretty well.

What Colin speaks to is why I like the endings to Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 so much Those games are about trying to find your friends, and by playing the game for such a long time, you develop such an emotional connection to the characters that when the inevitably reunite, the payoff is great. Kingdom Hearts 1. Just cause it brings back childhood memories for me and it's kinda emotional. Sora and Kairi parting ways, with Simple and Clean playing in the background and the drawings on the cave wall. There's nothing crazy with the story as the game finishes, but it's just a feel good ending that makes me happy

The end isn't talking to the Boss' AI, it's the fade to black with Big Boss talking to his troops about starting a place for freedom, the creation of Outer Haven. That was, at the time I thought the beginning of the end for the saga. Powerful moment for me. I remember it well.

+RZIBARA I will agree that for the most part Halo 2's campaign was awesome, and Halo 3 made up for the cliffhanger and then some. But Halo 4's ending: I would rather have a qte than a boss fight like Tartarus (ugh) Regret (yuck) or Warden ( Eww). I also never considered the Cortana/ Chief relationship as romantic; in my mind that's what makes the story so subtle and complex. Both of them are confused about which one of them is the machine, and what it means to be human, and they need eachother because no one else can understand this mindset. (Side note- The Didact is an incredible villain and I hope he returns at some point)

*WORST ENDINGS:* Mario (NES-GameCube... my last Nintendo console) . The cell shaded prince of Persia and Zelda *BEST ENDINGS:* 1) Conker's Bad Fur (N64) - the ending was the intro which I loved. 2) BioShock Infinite - I said WTF so many times (but in a good way) 3) BioShock Infinite 2 part DLC 4) Snake Eater - I felt Snake's pain and then ... I understood why he went down a different path 5) FF7 - those mega bosses felt really satisfying. 6) MGSV - There were several good twists at the end.

It's rare when a game captivates me so much to the point where I can even remember the ending of a game months later. That's not a knock on the games, either, b/c honestly, endings are hard to do for games and movies (given a specific genre). That being said, there are a few endings more recently that I can think of that will never leave my mind. The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite, Uncharted 4, MGS 3 (a way's back, I know).

I loved Crisis core to death, the ending was so sad, especially coming form someone who hadn't played the original final fantasy 7. Okami's ending was also really really really good. I mean the funny thing about okami is that at the end of the game you get to play in a form and use powers that you can only use in the ending, it was so fulfilling.metal gear solid 2's whole ending sequence was brilliant for the way it completely screws with your mind and you have no idea whats going on.

Best: Shadow of the Colossus -- That ending combined with Kow Otani's beautifully composed score is memorable as fuck. Beautiful. Uncharted 2 -- I really loved the ending for Uncharted 2...the cute little back and forward between Elena and Nate puts a smile on my face every time I see it. Dare I say it, I like that ending better than Uncharted 4's ending. Persona 4: The Golden -- Specifically the Golden ending where you return to Inaba a year later. Seeing how your group of friends have changed within a year really pulled at my heart strings. I loved those characters and I loved seeing what became of them one year later in Golden. Metal Gear Solid 3 -- The final salute combined with that powerful score...What can I say, I'm a sucker for a powerful musical score. The Last of Us -- I love open ended endings and that one really nailed the open ended ending. South Park: The Stick of Truth -- the final punchline is classic South Park :) Made me laugh Worst: Gone Home -- Two words that came to mind as the credits rolled; shallow and pretentious. But of course, circle jerk critics loved it for reasons that I still don't understand. I guess it's the whole lesbian and anti military thing...or worse, it's just hip to virtue signal. Sorry game critics, but you got it wrong, the ending was shallow as fuck. I didn't care one little bit about those characters, so why do I care that the sister was a lesbian and why do I care that she deserted the military to be with her lover? Again, that game is so freaking overrated by a bunch of circle jerk critics. It's not art, it's akin to a Tumblr blog...shallow and pretentious as fuck. Heavy Rain -- I loved Heavy Rain but there are a few endings to that game which are really ridiculous in hind sight. The worst being the one where Ethan loses Shaun and Madison tries to comfort him by saying "I want to give you a new child." It's akin to a parent telling a child "don't worry, we'll get you a new dog" when their dog dies. It's a really bad ending that shows the cracks in an otherwise solid game. Batman: Arkham City -- Didn't care much for the ending at all, in fact, I still think that I prefer Arkham Asylum over the rest of the series as a whole. Mirrors Edge -- a perfect example of "I did all of that for that?" Gears of War -- game was really fun to play, but it had such a flat ending. Borderlands -- all that hype about the Vault and it led to sweet fuck all nothing! All of those hours for absolutely nothing!
