It’s true until the tuna does the circle fight for the last 15 mins and you keep it’s heads up you got a chance and hope your gear last . Thank you for showing this educational Bluefin video, I need you get one next, my big tuna was a 236lb Yellowfin tuna. 🙏☮️❤️🌹😉

I see how rough it is but in my opinion if you don’t freestand are you actually catching the fish or just long lining? What ever happened to the chair? You are tied to it and the rod is tied to you. You have to feel the power that is the point

It is one of the most regulated fisheries in the world. The tuna are making a comeback because of the regulations.

Paul Flanagan Unlike Southern bluefin tuna, Atlantic bluefin tuna stocks are no where close to the recovery path. Quite the contrary, the populations continue to be on the decline and extinction is inevitable within our lifetime unless we stop shifting the baseline and get serious on management instead of caving to the demand in the Japanese market.

Fishing with Rod it’s seriously seriously sad where the worlds fisheries are. I’d like to see all commercial fishing band. Or more sanctuary’s at least

Fishing with Rod - that may be true overall but in this area the commercial charter boats are only allowed to keep a single fish for the season and all others must be released inside an hour fight time. They are most definitely making a comeback in this particular area because of the stringent rules that are enforced.
