You should be able to rent the house no problem. Make sure to contact management companies and keep checking rental listings. It can be difficult specially during summer when UNB starts classes and Students flock into the city from outside.

In regards to air quality, probably the southern parts of West Saint John to avoid some of the pulp mill's pollution. East Saint John gets too much bad air from the refinery and pulp mill.

There are neighbourhoods on east side away from refinery like Westmorland Road, Rothesay ave etc.

@@ToCanada_andbeyond It still can hang in the air and I have smelt the pulp mill many times in Quispamsis. When you can't smell it any longer, you need to keep an eye out for the daily AQI; olfactory adaptation can be deceiving.

We do not know exactly what is the comparison but we have friends who moved from BC to Saint John, they said we have less Grey days here in Eastern Canada, Vancouver side is more rainy summers and cold winters.

Geographically Moncton is bigger means more retail stores and maybe more opportunities but the quality of life is not as good as Saint John,

There are third party websites like Indeed.com, Jobs.com etc, you can use to find job. Apart from that if you know the company you want to work with, you can go to their website directly and upload your resume and they will do round of interview with you.

Hi Jihan/Usman, we finally decided to land Saint John as a new immigrant, being a Muslim, could you suggest if taking a apartment for rent in East Side is good for kids school and Muslim community? if not kindly suggest the place for us as we don't have job so getting a reasonable rental apartment is ideal for us in first couple of months. could you also suggest property websites/links to find a cheap and best apartments?

Hello, you can definitely check out east SJ as we have big mosque MANB here which give Islamic schooling over weekends. As for as schooling, the education system is pretty much same. Congrats on coming to SJ. Hope we cross path. Happy to help!

Yes, there is Muslim Association of NB in Saint John east side, where they do Quran and Hadith Classes and there is Sunday Islamic class for children as well where Jihen also volunteer for giving kids knowledge of Islam and other religions values.

@@ToCanada_andbeyond thank you for response, I moved here 2 months ago and I watched all your videos thinking I am coming to a nice city :D. I am pretty disappointment with the uptown. Yesterday I was at services new brunswick, next to the king's square, and guy on drugs and needle entered in and start doing it in front of us, nobody stopped him from entering. So anywhere close that part is no go for me. Soo, after that experience, we are looking to places outside of the city.

I would only go to Uptown for dining in or coffee, it gets nicer during summer time. I do agree that I am seeing more homeless nowadays. I live on east and I have no issues with it
