To be fair to new players there are hundreds of champions in the game who say they are "Defense" or "HP" but all their abilities scale off attack. Plarium needs to go through all the OG champs and correct this as there's a huge number of Rares in particular scaling off a different damage type to their classification. Daywalker is a good example, HP champ with no HP scaling abilities.

This video was perfect. So helpful. I'm trying so hard to understand gear and with each video that comes out *about* gear - I get that much closer to being able to understand and gear my units better. I loved the explanation about the unique stats of gloves, chest, and boot pieces - and same with the accessories. This is great info (about halfway through and will delete if you mention) but the Amulet slot substats ONLY offers flat stats (besides Crit Dmg, if it's not your main stat). So new players please don't sell all your amulets because they don't have % stats lol.

Great video, but does the title match the content? As a follow up, please do a series of videos on each artifact set, and provide a top ten champions who would do well with that set. For instance, I have ton of B- relentless gear. It is piling up. Who can wear it, if I cannot part with it? Not to mule it, but use it. I also have a ton of Protection gear. What three or four champs would do well wearing that set? I have some Destroy Gear... a nice set for Vergis and.... ??? Thank you for your help.

@@jgarrison1309 I would recommend to not waste your silver equipping champs you don’t use. Save the silver and sell the gear you’ll get better stuff. Stay on the grind.

In this case, he prefers the substats over the set bonus. In the end you can get better stats, ignoring the set bonuses. IF YOU CAN, of course it's better to care about stats AND get the set bonus.

Gearing is a headache. Note I've not watched this yet. I usually end up not having enough crit, acc, def/hp to go along with sets like Savage or Relentless, etc. to make any of them better than a mix of different sets.

Just hit your stats and don’t worry about sets until late game. Make sure you hit high speed and acc when needed. Speed is king don’t worry about the other stats and just hit main stat percentages as much as possible. Also ascend for accessories and farm the pin point set right now will be good for accessories

Does the rarity of armor even matter when let's say a blue piece has 6 stars? Vs a gold armor piece with 6 stars? The color is throwing me off I thought all gold was better than having purple blue and gold armor pieces put onto a character or am I tripping?

it sucks having to ever to use bad gear and having to replace it later, but such is RSL. one thing pretty crazy is how RES is almost non existent in arena. one big problem: RSL stat weights are terribly designed. SPD is almost no champ power. nuts. that makes players think they can beat a team they won't scratch.

I don't usually see a lot of focus given to RES in gearing guides such as this one, though I know it's important. Generally, it's speed, accuracy, crit r./crit d. With hp and def more about when you need more survivability. I've also noticed that when I choose the Survival mode in the HH Optimizer, it doesn't appear to put much if any importance on RES. Mind you this is without making any selections in the Battle section. I do need to see how much of a difference that makes if any.

I made some selections in the Battle section. Using Ursala against the boss in dragon 20 normal. The RES number I got was actually lower than it was ignoring the Battle section.
