I was able to test everything prior to it going offline, so when it’s back, you should be good to go! Update 2 (updated): Sonar Universal Tune is DONE! After importing, use the bass, voice, and treble sliders to fine tune for model. For example, VZR Model One would use +6 dB voice, +1.5 dB treble. I found out about this channel recently as I was looking for good gaming headsets. I went with the nova pro wireless. I am not a person who goes deep into audio settings and stuff coz to me most of it sounds the same. But this channel has taught me so much about eq and stuff that it has actually enhanced my audio experience. @acseattle1975 I'm still using the MW3 eq (excluding S&D one) from one of the videos. BO6 has amazing sounds natively, so I use that for now. Although the footsteps do get muffled from distant explosions and gunfire which was not the case in MW3. But I haven't been able to figure out a custom EQ for BO6, so have been using that as of now.

I really hope you make a seperate video on the Maxwell. My questions would be: Dolby or no Dolby and how to use it with the audeze app, where to put the settings cus we have audeze eq, dolby eq and ingame eq also which setting to put on xbox when using what, for example headset format; there is stereo, windows, dolby and dts and stuff like allow passthrough in additional options. Also we have this new audio settings ingame. I got no plan what to combine and what not, some explenation on that would be awesome.

So on squiglink you can actually choose all of the presets that are inside of Audeze EQ app, but the only thing that is missing is the flat one. Correct me if I'm wrong but I am using it this way : - Audeze EQ app on "Audeze" preset - Selected on squiglink "Audeze Maxwell (Audeze preset)" with BO6 target and tuned accordingly - On dolby atmos change the settings as on the squiglink (BO6 Target), enable Dolby Atmos in your Windows Spatial Sound settings

I believe that’s wrong. I thought it was strange that there is no flat eq on squiglink as well only Audeze one. You should not double eq you maxwells from my understanding after watching gadgetrytechs other videos. Set the Audeze hq to flat..all zeros. The use squiglink to find your custom eq then manually insert those numbers into Dolby app on Xbox. That was my understanding anyways.

I have a Arctis Nova 5, so not exactly the same, but I use the Treyarch mix and it works well. Last year for MW3, Gadgetrytech suggested to use "Theater mode", so you can also try that, if Treyarch mix doesn't work correctly for you

This video (and links) have been massively useful for me Joe - have tweaked a few headsets now to match the target. Was then looking through the database and looked at my Aune AR5000. The FR seemed great as stock. End result is, despite tweaking my MMX330, Atlas Air, and A-spire Wireless amongst others, I've settled on using the Aune with no Eq at all and they are the best of the bund to my ears lol

This is the first time I've played with audio configuration, and I loved your guide. It was simple and straight to the point, with some explanations of how everything works. I'll say that I'm still confused about whether I should keep using the APO Equalizer versus Dolby Atmos's equalizer, but I'll say the footsteps sound is much clearer now than before with my Pulse 3D headset (I use it on PC).

Equalizer APO with PEACE is more effective, due to parametric EQ, which allows you to fine tune every setting you want. Atmos is far simpler, and if your headset/headphone does not need a lot of adjustment, can be an easy way to adjust.

When I had turned on HRTF I could BARELY hear a difference for footstep sounds, but hitmarkers, and gunshots almost sounded a bit dull, or muted (I don't really know how to explain it in better terms), so I just turned it off and went on my merry way. Took my time to fiddle with the frequencies for the nova pro wireless. Even though you cant be perfect through dolby atmos, the results have been astounding. Once if really studied the sound queues i have been getting the drop on everybody. Amazing. Much appreciated!

@ for nova pro wireless? Sure here ya go 32hz= -8. 64hz= 0 125hz= -3. 250hz= 0. 500hz= 2 1000hz= 0 2000hz= -1 4000hz = 6 8000hz= -3. 16000= -2. Really weird looking but then again so is the default nova settings (apparently). Within a couple games i really was able to tune into footsteps so much better.

Just to be clear, my understanding is that running multiple EQs simultaneously (e.g., running a custom EQ preset on my Audeze Maxwell headset whilst also running a custom EQ on the Dolby Atmos app through my Xbox) is never a good idea. However, what qualifies as a custom EQ on the Dolby Atmos app? Obviously the custom 10 band adjustments are EQs, but what about the Atmos modes like Game, Movie, etc.? Could I use a custom EQ on my Maxwell headset and also use Dolby Atmos, and if so, should I set the Atmos app to Game mode (with performance mode on or off), or should I set the Atmos app to a flat, unaltered custom EQ (with surround virtualizer on or off)? Apologies for the novel, but I can’t seem to find definitive answers for this anywhere.

Ended up reducing all the high freq as the treble on tryarch mix is really piercing my ears in this game. i dunno mw3 with theatre mix was on point, blackops6 not so much. hoping we get the dbs recommended soon here in a comment or something. Please note did mine with WCfreeze earpad curve.

As a PS5 user, I’m slightly disappointed in it, as before purchasing it, they had Google play and Apple App Store logos on the website, which let me to believe I can tweak settings on G8 via my phone, but this is not the case. They have removed the logos since then from their website. Despite mixing 2 sources being a cool feature, G8 feels like a bit of a downgrade compared to G6, since I can’t enable/disable sidetone or adjust its volume without hooking the device to my PC. Also, there is a bug where to enable SBX after a cold boot, you gotta cycle through SBX and scout mode once, and only on the second cycle my onboard EQ preset kicks in. For example, after the G8 turns on, i gotta cycle off->SBX->Scout Mode->off->SBX, only now SBX actually turns on.

Hi, this is my first time here! I have a quick question after watching the video: where’s the best place to start with audio settings in Windows? I usually switch between DTS and Dolby depending on the game and have loudness equalization enabled in the Windows Control Panel. I’m using Sennheiser HD660S2 headphones with AutoEQ using Oratory1990’s EQ settings. I’m not super knowledgeable beyond this setup, but I’m really interested in how the right audio settings in an OS or game can create a more immersive experience.

Which Hz level affects background noise that you were talking about when walking around ? With the $20 pack it’s covering up footsteps just a bit too much. I’m using Nova Pro Wireless X. Do I set my console settings to stereo uncompressed for HDMI and Windows for Headset? Or should I use Dolby Atmos For headphones ? If yes to Dolby then should I personalize their EQ *AND* the gameDAC *OR* Should I use just Dolbys EQ and keep gameDAC on flat? I know all of this can be found out on my own but the whole point is to save time because this can be very time consuming when you get specific about it. I’m on console so NO sonar. Any tips/tricks/feedback would be great. Thank you in advance I know this was quite the question to anyone who possibly responds !

Is there a way to "convert" the EQ from Squiglink so i can set up the same EQ with the Astro Command Center? I am using the A50 Gen4 and tbh I am confused what I should do. Frequency and Gain are a no brainer but what is Q for, where can i set the Auto EQ range and what should i put in by the 3 xCF´s in the command center?

Spent a couple of hours creating a profile for my headphones based on the target. Has made a world of difference. Thanks for making this video. Works great. I do have one question (for you or anyone reading this). I use Sound Lock to keep the loud sounds down a bit, which helps bring the the quieter footsteps up a bit by running a slightly higher volume. Is using Sound Lock the same as using Loudness EQ? Not sure if I should use one, the other, or even both at the same time.

Also, I have found that when importing the AutoEQ into EQ APO, the line/graph is wildly different to the one that appears in Squiglink. Is that normal?

Joe..so far on consoles I have found the VZR’s with the updated cushions to be the best headphone for this game. After that the Sennheiser 490’s. And for wireless I found the maxwells doing much better than the previous game on Audeze setting. Just some thoughts I found.
