Word of caution re: handicap parking. Please make sure you look Inside the vehicle before doing anything. After my husband's stroke he was in a wheelchair for 4 months. The temporary placard they gave us was cheaply made and lasted 8 trips. On the 9th trip I parked at the physical therapy center, put the placard up, and when we came back there was a pink slip under the windshield wiper and the placard was on the floor. We ended up wasting 3 hours of our time waiting to prove we had the placard, and that it just fell off. They still charged us $10 even after admitting that happens all the time. I duct taped that f'er up after that. One would think they'd make something you're supposed to remove before driving and put up when parking a bit sturdier . . ..

Secondly, at least in Ontario, you have to park 5 ft from any driveway or access point (If someone has no driveway, how is an ambulance crew supposed to get to the residence?) Also in Ontario, the Highway Traffic Act says that if you have a driveway or parking spot (Off the roadways) then you must use it AT ALL TIMES! Besides, it's a public roadway so anyone can park wherever they want (As long as it's within parking regulations, of course)

Just so you know… private property parking lot like at Wal-Mart, Costco, or malls, even with painted lines designating parking spaces, you are not required to park in those spaces. The only place you cannot park is where it’s designated parking for disabled or as a fire lane for emergency vehicles. And no one can evict you from that parking spot except a representative of the property owner empowered to do so for trespassing. Public road curbs are like public lots. First come first served as the laws allowed.

I agree this is a public street and if it is you don't own the street in front of your house. I know one place where the homeowners do actually own the street, the city said they would not be installing or maintaining the street when the homes were build, so each homeowner had to purchase the land in front of their house to the mid point in the street then pay for everything involved with the street directly in front of their property, so it is now a private street and each homeowner has the right to tow any car parked in front of their house. As far as the rest being justified... No, just NO. angry little people throwing fits

And they were justified because the man's parking meter had expired. They couple were laughing in the video. They messed up the man's transmission. Are you referring to the one covered in post-it notes? I'm not sure if he could give a ticket for littering, without also ticketing the people that did it. Now the driver should have gotten a ticket for parking in a handicap, but the people that covered his car should have been ticketed or arrested for vandalism, malicious mischief, and causing a disturbance. They had no right to take the law into their own hands like that, they should have called the police so he would be ticketed. It appeared to be NY City, it is not hard to find a cop.

I frequently straddle the parking lines. If the car next to me is over a foot, I can squeeze in but still straddle the other parking line by a few inches typically. Then if the original idiot leaves I look like the bad parker. That's why I don't take 'revenge' on people straddling the lines.

@@dfarmer_ I completely agree with you and I've seen it where that happens and the parking over the line compounds over 4 or 5 cars in a very crowded parking lot, especially parking lots with smaller spaces, then half an hour later most of the cars are gone and there is one car that looks like they were intentionally trying to take 2 full spaces. It's crazy. I don't take revenge not for this reason, but this is reason enough. I don't take revenge because it is not mine to take, it is illegal and almost always costs more than time for the intended target. Let's say you scratch it ding someone's car because they "stole" your parking space or they are straddling 2 spaces. Do you KNOW the driver is the owner? Do you know they are the only owner? Do you know why they parked like that? Do you KNOW that they saw you waiting for the parking place? There are just so many variables and the matter of legality revenge over something as stupid as a parking spot, or someone parking on a public street... Even parking on your property, anything beyond calling a tow truck, says a lot more about your mentality and lack of self control than it does about the person parking on your property.
