Best Baitcaster Under 200 Dollars?!

For the most part, I'm a Shimano guy but I recently purchased the JDM Zillion SV TW 1000H and I have to admit I love it. I would recommend that reel for beginner to expert. It's just soooo easy to dial in and I've yet to backlash. The only other reel in the $200 range that's as good is the Curado 150mgl. The only difference between the JDM and US Zillion is the JDM is made in Japan and has an aluminum gear set vs. Brass for the U.S. model and the U.S. model has a larger handle but the U.S. model is $350+ vs. around $200 for the JDM. Good observation, it's a great reel.

@@philipfalco7304 yeah I am also a shimano guy and except for spinning reels this is my only Daiwa bait caster and for 200 haven’t tried that curado mgl yet but this zillion has been my go to reel this year and I love it and with that boost once you get it dialed you can bomb lures. @@DoubleDigitHunter I use the Curado 150 when I'm fishing heavier lures and for the increased line capacity and a little more casting distance due to the MGL spool and increased line capacity as well as a stronger drag.

@@philipfalco7304yeah I’ll have to try that one I have the curado dc that I use a lot but I use the zillion for my smallmouth stuff like Topwater and smaller stuff and it’s great for that

@@DoubleDigitHunter That's exactly what I use my Zillion for. My lighter stuff like Topwater, light spinnerbaits, lighter rattle baits/ crank baits and Jerkbaits.
