I had the bofa better balance rewards card for years and loved it. Free $120 a year basically. This year they canceled it and gave me a customized cash rewards card. I’ve been taking a look at their others cards and was disappointed. I might return when I have enough savings to get on their preferred rewards but for now I’m looking to get the Chase sapphire preferred.

We have Preferred Platinum Honors status, and so we get 5.25% on online purchases and on gas (with two CCR cards) and 2.625% on all other expenses (UCR card).

If you are starting from scratch or repair your credit from the sewer then BofA has secured versions of their credit cards. If you are a college or graduate student then BofA has student versions of their credit cards.

Yes, they have a rule where you won't be approved for a BofA credit card if you opened 3 credit cards from any bank in the last 12 months. But if you have a checking or savings account with BofA then you won't get approved for a BofA credit card if you opened 7 credit cards from any bank in the last 12 months.

@@Brain_With_Limbs well, yes, if you know you’re not gonna use your money for an extended period, basically the worst thing you can do is leave it in your bank account, especially in a bank that doesn’t offer real amounts of interest on their savings accounts like BoA. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend CD’s either as the right savings account or especially treasury bills & notes may earn more still, but all of them are preferable to a BoA savings account. If it’s a long term investment, I’d say a balanced stock portfolio or the right real estate.

Even if you’re a preferred rewards member, these are so mediocre. The sign up bonuses receive nothing from being a PR member, so unless you’re strictly looking for cash back, theres about 20-25 other cards that top all of these.

You dont have to transfer. Just move $100k. To merrill. You will get free checking accounts. I use it to transfer my points and watch the balance grow. Move it to a brokerage. This guy left out the 2% grocery and warehouse clubs. That 2% is 3.5%. So it's pretty simple. Red card for groceries clubs and meals. Problem is it has quarterly limits. Everything else on the premium rewards card rd. 2.62%.

PM, Funny last yr you stated they were the worst! I did drink the BOA CC Koolaid tho (BOA Customized Cash) - that 0% Interest for 18 Billing Cycles is a GEM. DATA Pts: TU Hard Pull/NY, Score 780, No Bank Relationship required. However, for Business CCs, a banking relationship IS required. These CC are only good for the 0% offers. Hope this helps.

If you're Platinum Honors, that's 2.625% cashback and if you use the travel credits, you're paid $5 to have the card. There's no one best card for everyone but this certainly can be a power card for many.

I laughed when I saw the BOA Premium Rewards Elite Card. You might as well get the CSR or the AMEX Platinum at that point. Unless you’re a preferred rewards member, these cards are worthless. The bonuses are terrible! It’s sad that BOA has such crappy credit cards! Even Wells Fargo has better cards and I hate Wells Fargo! 😂
