Hi There, I am visiting Panglao in a few weeks, is this beach close to Alona and is it open to the public? Cheers!
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Hi Davis! Thanks for watching. I think 4 kilometers way, about 10 mins ride. Well according to our law, anything inside 20 meters from the sea should be accessible free by the public and cannot be owned privately. 😇 Beach side should be open. For their resort, if they are not fully booked they allow walk ins to eat in their restaurant but ONLY people who check in are allowed to use their facilities.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. The place looks amazing! Hopefully, I can swing by. :-)

Great video..what is the rates there? And do you need to book in advance?
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for watching! You can connect with them here in their FB page they have all their contact info and rates. facebook.com/SouthPalmsResortPanglao/ When we booked them, we had to deposit 50% downpayment to their bank account in order to reserve a room and then the final payment is made upon check in.

Hi, trying to decide whether to vacation in Panglao Bohol or in Camote Islands. Can you tell me which is the easier to travel to from Cebu City and the most value for the money? Thank you for your video
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Hi Timothy, I've been to both and I have many videos of these 2 places but to answer your question Bohol is the best choice! For transport from Cebu, it's the same fast craft company (Ocean Jet) they have trips to Bohol and to Camotes but more trips/schedules for Bohol. More transport options when you arrive in Bohol, many more places and different things to experience in Bohol too.

I've seen many videos of your videos and they're fun but don't know what your husband does. Is he a software developer kabayan? I am a developer and thinking of places with fast internet speed in Manila in case I have to work remotely. Am from the US. Hope you can also review other places' wifi speed. Thanks.
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Hi denniszenanywhere! Thanks for watching. He's not a developer. I do travel vlogs so I don't review so much on wifi speeds but general condition of country's internet speed right now is not good at all compared to Europe and US but hopefully next year with the 3rd telco operating in our country, we will have a high speed internet. Though for business/commercial accounts they can always subscribe for 50 mbps up to 100 mbps I guess, which I think this resort has because despite the many guests, we were able to use the internet just fine.
@denniszenanywhere6 жыл бұрын
Wow, the monopolies are allowing a 3rd telco company there? Which one? Good to know.
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Not that they allow, no choice, because it is President Duterte's order to open for foreign telco to join with a local Telco which is NOT AT ALL business related with Globe and PLDT, it has to be a 100% 3rd competitor. It will be 60% Filipino, 40% foreign owned. Selection I think of the bidders will be this June. It was May and I think was moved to June this year.
@denniszenanywhere6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the update. Been watching your videos. You are very smart. Great educational videos. Hope you do get fast internet there. Hopefully, someday foreign companies can own 100% of businesses there, to stop monopolies there which affect employment.
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 Yes, I hope very soon Filipinos can enjoy a fast internet connection.

How much is the rate of the room?
@TravelToujours5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the type of accommodation and their prices are also changing depending on the dates. You can message them directly on their FB page to inquire for the dates you like. Also, I purposely followed them on FB so that if they would post for promos, I would get notified. Most of the time the cheapest is more than 10k but we had ours on promo at 6k per night. facebook.com/SouthPalmsResortPanglao/?ref=br_rs

I want to ask how much is the day rate? Is it consummable, :) lunch buffet?
@TravelToujours7 жыл бұрын
They don't offer day use only :( You have to check in to use their facilities.

@@TravelToujours all facility is free once you've check in? How about the massage?
@TravelToujours5 жыл бұрын
Hi Krusette, mostly free but the massage, no, you have to pay separately for their service. For the Kayak and paddle board, you can use it free for I forgot I think 1 hr. If you use it more than that there's additional payment. Don't know if that is still their policy until now.

at 0:33 and at 6:25 you scared the hell out of me striking into a school of juvenile striped catfish (plotosus lineatus). I know they are look cute and innocent - you and your husband might don't know, but their barbless spines are highly venomous that could cause serious damage, complications and even death. ...I just don't want you guys die one of your vacation..
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Really??? The filipinos are eating this kind of fish, we call this fish "hito". I searched for translation and yeah catfish. Are there many different types of catfish?
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
oh my God, i searched about plotosus lineatus. Oh my God!!!! and I was so trying to catch them. Thank you for educating me on this one Spearomen.
@Spearomen6 жыл бұрын
Ok ok ..i figured. The Philippine sea is beautiful but also full of danger if your not careful. Its great to look around but good rule of thumb is not to touch anything. The local waters are full of venomous animals that maybe cute but can be fatal. Some of them just top of my head: banded sea-snake, ringed octopus, scorpion fish, some catfish species, some stingray spices, box jellyfish, cone shell/snails and the list goes on. Once i seen a filipino dive master handling a banded sea-snake... they are not aggressive but takes only one small bite and no one could save you.. it completely paralyzes the body and literally that would be the last breath one would take. Anyway...i don't mean to scare you away from snorkeling because its a great - just dont touch and have fun!
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I will be more mindful next time 🙃 (don't try to touch anything from now on)😊

Entrance fee?
@TravelToujours6 жыл бұрын
no entrance fee, you can only get inside the resort if you will check in or has a paid reservation for a room. They will allow you to get inside (no entrance fee too) if you want to dine in in their restaurant but only if they are not fully booked. If they have many guests and is fully booked even if you will say you will eat in their restaurant, the guards will not let you in. If you can get inside to dine in, you cannot use their swimming pool or go swimming inside their premise.
