I subscribed to you after seeing this! Twenty years ago, I married a Brazilian and have spent much time in Brazil. I love that you made this video because while Rio is gorgeous the state of Rio has so many gorgeous and pristine beaches and landscapes. I personally love the more undeveloped places because I love the natural beauty and lack of crowds! You must see Paraty one day, it is a Portuguese colonial town, full of historic architecture and fun activities. The best time to go is right after Carnival, we went in early March and literally had an entire beach to ourselves!

I visited Arrial do Cabo about 12 years ago. What I remember about the beach is that the water was freezing! 😄Very beautiful sand and clear water. Had some great food in a place in town not far from the beach we were at. I remember seeing sand dunes on the way in. Really beautiful area.

Hey, Alina, I've to congrats you, 'cause you have been visiting the most beautiful places in Rio de Janeiro's state, which foreign tourists don't go often. So, I will give to you more one tip : Cataguase Islands (Ilhas Cataguases) in Angra dos Reis. In fact there are a lot of islands over there and you can find boat tour to visit 4 or 5. Arraial is so cool. Perfect place to rent a house. Not so crowded as Cabo Frio. Not so fancy and expensive as Búzios. Allowing you to go to either, though, and both are worthy. Yet, Arraial seems to have something else, maybe some hidden message in its rougher nature, or in the kindness of its simple people. Just live the energy of the place. Can’t describe it, just miss it. Your video somehow expresses its hard to capture nature, and the feeling one would only have by just being there.

We stayed in Natal many years ago and the resort of Punta Nedra, it was such fun with the guy selling caipirinha’s along the beach all day long with a pull along cart. We never ate so much meat in our lives, and the local,people are very fun loving and love beach life even though a lot of them were poor. Are you going to Natal? It would be great to relive our experience there.

Arraial do Cabo não tem estrutura só passeio, não tem estrutura de Mirantes, hotéis, só pousadas e isso faz com que turistas prefiram lugares com resorts e outras coisas, muitos saem de búzios só passam o dia e vão embora, recebemos muitos turistas no fim e início de ano entorno de 800.000 pessoas

The hotel prices in Rio go up about 5 to 10X per day. And you need to book a year ahead. Glad you had fun!

The brazilian currency Real is rising a lot compared to the US Dollar. During the pandemy, 1 dollar was equal to something like 5,70 reais, but now 1 dollar equals 4,83 reais. So, maybe the prices reflect this currency situation.
