Buzios is definitely a must if you come to Brazil. This beautiful and affluent beach town is just a 3hr drive from Rio de Janeiro and has been visited by celebrities from all over the world. The town sits on a peninsula with over 20 beaches, great restaurants and the best nightlife in the surrounding area. While it is more expensive to stay here than other beach towns in Brazil, it is definitely worth it even if you come for a day trip. Hope you find this video helpful to planning your trip! xx

Awww June is winter in Brazil!!!! But if you still want to go to beaches when you come, I strongly recommend the northeast region, you get the best chance of sunny and warm weather there, while if you go to Rio or to the south it's probably gonna be cold water and cloudy days. My favorite beach in the world is Cumuruxatiba, south of Bahia (a state in northeast region) close to the city of Prado, but it's a tiny town, very remote and calm, I recommend Pousada Rio do Peixe to stay in. It's the best place I've ever been in my life, honestly. It's a little hard to get there, it's very remote, but totally worth it. And it's warm even in the winter, you still have a chance of blue skies and warm beautiful water. Also, it's very cheap on comparison to Rio de Janeiro for exemple, the price is amazing, especially in off season like June, and it's still high quality of services in the hotel I've told you: Pousada Rio do Peixe.

Oh!!!! But I have to recommend you visiting Minas Gerais also, it's my state, and we don't have beaches, but we have really beautiful historical towns like Ouro Preto, Diamantina, São João Del Rei, etc. With amazing nature, great to go on hikes, see waterfalls (especially Diamantina) and the food here is the best hahaha (I know I'm biased, but it's honestly great) and it doesn't matter if it's winter, I actually prefer Minas Gerais in the winter, it's cozy and the weather is good: it's cold (for our standards) but here it doesn't rain very much in the winter, it's a dry season, so we get clear skies. And in June we have FESTA JUNINA!!!!! The best festival ever!!!!! Seriously, I don't know a single person who doesn't like festa junina (literally "June festival") it has delicious foods, it's great for a immersive cultural experience.

It reminds me of La Jolla, California where I spent all of my summers as a child and teenager frolicking in the sea with my family and friends. Marine St in La Jolla had the biggest waves six feet to ten feet tall..... to body surf till the cows came home. Ah memories!!!

That region where you went is called the Lakes Region or Sun Coast Region, in the the state of Rio de Janeiro. You went to both peninsulas there, in the cities of Arraial do Cabo and Búzios. Nice that you showed the historic part of it that the famous actress Brigite Bardot made the place famous in the 60s, when it was a fishing village at the time. Some of the best beaches in the state of Rio are there, and Búzios is very charming.

Great video, as always. I've been an expat for 22 yrs, yet Búzios-RJ has been our favorite hideout all along. It is beautiful, it is peaceful, overall people are very nice...do agree with you regarding Arraial's beaches vs ours, though the access paths to Arraial's beaches are not always as comfortable (I'd rather get there by sailing or motoring). Búzios has most of its beaches accessible by vans, buses, Uber, bycicle or even by foot (I am sorry you didn't go to Ferradurinha, just beyond Geribá...it's very small, but just gorgeous). Now unless one prefers crowded seasons, it is worth visiting especially in our Autumn (Spring in the North Hemisphere), where there is almost no rain and days are no longer so warm. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip throughout Brazil.

Been there 5 times. But I only live about 2 hours north of there in Macaé. Armação dos Búzios is a great resort town. I recommend Pedra da Laguna. Nice, quiet hotel.

I've watched most of your videos on Brazil. I have to complement you on your selection of the background music. Your commentary is also very informative. I've been to Rio, Buzios, Sao Paulo, Floripa, Curtiba, Porto Alegre, Bento Goncalves, Balneário Camboriú and Blumenau. Did you get a chance to visit Ouro Preto (A UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Gramado? If you haven't, I would highly recommend a visit. I've been to both cities twice.
