Best beaches in Zanzibar: Drone Video

Oh God.. I have such great memories from Zanzibar... I have also been in Dar es Salaam but Zanzibar was my favourite place in Tanzania. It was back in december 2014 and I was on board of M/V Bella... container vessel... now I am a deck officer in the commercial navy but that time I was a deck cadet... and we went alongside in Zanzibar and we had 5 days of cargo opperations because we used our cranes... that was like a dream because we had plenty time to go ashore using our Shore Passes as sailors... I was the only woman on board as usual but I have to admit that I had a lot of fun in Zanzibar. We spent Christmas in the disco bar "Taboo" .. we ate in "2Degrees South"... we visited Freddie Mercury's house and restaurant .. and during the night we went to some local clubs for dancing and relaxing after a few months of being on board. Almost all crew members were ashore in Zanzibar and we had a great time. People there are very kind and smiling all the time. I became friend with Jennifer, a local woman who used to sell her body to sailors for money but she was really smart and beautifull and I did not understood why she didn't do something else for living because she was a really great woman. For me, meeting her, was a way to have contact with another woman during such a long time on board... because I spent 6 months on board of MV BELLA and I really missed talking with another girl... I was 24 that time... and I am romanian. Really good memories from Zanzibar. I really recomand it to all of you who would like to visit a place and don't know where to go... I am more attracted of simple life and kind people... I have also been in cities such as Melbourne which have really modern view but I would give up this kind of fun... for the simple life in Zanzibar! I loved it!

Nice. But for me Beach at Pongwe beats them all easily, plus when the tide is in it’s completely cut off which is great Beach to spend your time . 😊👍

Greetings I'm presently planning a trip for 8 couples. I am trying to figure out which side of the island to stay. We want seclusion, miles of beach, and great food but we also dont want a long drive to fun things like stone town. Do you have any suggestions on which side of the island is best?

Korga Szabina Thank you! No I didn't get any special permission. Just be careful not to fly over government buildings and airports, and you should be fine!

It rains around that time. But not everyday. Depending on the length of your trip, you can risk it.

I just carried it in my bag and whipped it out when I wanted to film. Noone said anything at the airport, nor at the beaches or resorts. But this was in 2017. Maybe they are a bit stricter now🤷🏾‍♀️
