Perhentian Besar got only one fresh water source, that is in Telaga Berani. The people there got their freshwater from well and rainwater. So fresh water is the thing to consider if you are camping.

Indeed - the largest waves were on long beach. Apparently with the end of monsoon season in April, the waves become smaller.

Gorgeous beaches! Was in Besar some years back and it was busy. I think you were there in the begining of Covid season hence the deserted islands. Better that way, you got the place/beaches to yourselves!

We've been to the Perhentians in January, even though it was technically the beginning of Covid season indeed, there were wasn't a serious concern about it - like it was in March. The owner of our hotel told us the islands are always that deserted offseason even though you can have entire month of pure sunshine :) But of course, one can not rely on it

Stay at abdul chalet its so osem,u juz walk to fish point/blue lagoon for about 5 minute,4 meter from beach u can find many nemo spot💙

Hi, we've been to the Perhentian Islands in January - just a year ago... There is a village on the bigger island, they have some corner shops to buy groceries and several small restaurants. The place we were staying at, cooked fried noodels and fried rice that were actually good, and for something different than that we hiked to the village

Perhentian Kecil, there is a fishing village. Perhentian Besar, no village, just resort and chalet for tourist.

amazing. only you two on the island. look alike abandoned island. by the way,very informative video. u have covered all beaches of the island. but i just curious,what if something bad happened to u during the trekking.

Thank you! Despite the beaches being abandoned there are still people in the village. And in almost all places of the islands you do have cellphone reception. Also there is the occasional boat going by. There are no dangerous animal so other than tripping and falling - nothing much can go wrong :)

Dont worry..there is a police station on the Kecil Island and those villagers are friendly human and have been living on the islands for as long as people can remember and nothing bad happens

@@Reformist101 Depth of field is an indicator. GoPro captures a much wider view. Depth of field is shallow for sony that's why portraits look so good with it

Long Beach, I would recommend nestby Redang Island, the Long Beach at Redang Island, is more beautiful, white sandy beaches & coral just off the beach
