Friend bought a brand new caymas. Lots of shiny features. But the boat was loaded with problems. Unloaded it for a 75k loss 10months after buying. Would not recommend this boat for any setting

*AMAZING* offering up twin engines with that much horsepower for such a Boat. Having a mild manbered 18 footer bayfisher that more than happily blasts away on a 115hp might want to explain just how hard it is to put that much weight on the transom and still have a stable watercraft. *GREAT THING TO SEE!* my question being can the "two wide" be configered as a single like the dedicated single? The reason i ask this as despite the enormous expense of buying a two engine Boat such as this might be worth doing this in the current clearly very challenging market as might get a very good 2nd engine for a very good offer then rig it up for one (or two still too of course) but than have one boat with one engine in the water being put to work the other in reserve ready to be used on down days for the daily driver thus helping in this way justify the enormous capital expense of these amazing but still in the end "just a fiahing boat." Also important always to discuss i think you're talking "freeboard" or the amount of outside hull free and clear of the water. I would never take this Boat out on the Ocean but where i live is the Morgan River which empties out into the Atlantic Ocean and is *CRAZY SHALLOW* insodoing so no way can take any offshore boat there...but won't take my 18 footer there either as too much water for that. This however is spot on for that...to include use as a possible dive platform/snorkler in an area well known for having only channel boat traffic as is quite shallow in most places so very excellent fishing and wreck snorkling in those difficult places. I could see putting this hull in a space such as that then cruise all day up into all the inlets in there. Would only do that with a single engine tho...would need a jack plate somewhere to poke the head through for a 2nd Station as well. Great to learn about this today and thanks for sharing!😊😊😊
