JustPlanes crew spent a week filming Hong Kong CLK Airport. The 4 hour film we released contains a lot of Boeing 747 action as this airport still sees a lot of jumbo traffic. In this video we picked some of the best moments showing the "Queen of the Skies" at work.

Majestic! It's almost as if time was slowed to about 2 thirds of real time whenever you watch a Boeing 747 taking off or landing. Almost as if The Queen of the Skies is acknowledging her audience! I love them and just wish they'd stay around forever!

Great video, I thoroughly enjoyed watching those majestic Boeing 747s taking off and landing. As a commercial aviation buff, the Boeing 747 will always be my favourite aircraft, it’s a shame the passenger version of the 747 is being phased out, but there will still be a demand for the freighter version of the 747. Long live the mighty Boeing 747, the Queen of the Sky.

When it first came out, I was amazed by two things, it has twin deck and the lower deck passengers are actual sat till the nose tip of the plane. It's almost like the pilot view. Sadly many 747 are retiring.

These 747’s they use for cargo, are they old planes retired from passenger service or are they still making them?

They're only building freighters now, the 747-8. Lufthansa, China Airlines & Korean Airlines were the only airlines to buy passenger 747-8's. I believe that 747's that were built for cargo have the short hump, the cargo aircraft that have the longer hump will have been converted.
