I actually did a bunch of research on this the other day and I found that lots of people use spar varnish or polyurethane to waterproof Air Dry Clay! I haven’t tried it yet, but you should do a video on giving that a go!! ❤️ love your Clay videos. So fun and therapeutic!

Hi Tina, I was also looking how to waterproof air dry clay too. A fellow KZbinr suggested using an exterior Polyurethane and look for non yellowing. She tried it on some clay wings she made and left them in the rain for 3 days. They held up. I haven’t tried this yet but she suggested applying 2-3 coats.

Think although I'm nearly out of wall spaces....those air dry plant holders are so cute, I do seem all of a sudden to have a nursery of spider plants and if I did a deeper spoon maybe I could place a baby plant to start off in one of these. I've just literally brought some wall hangings of moon phases brass for daughter and myself, but think I could squeeze another in somewhere or alternate them...oh my heads gone into overdrive...this bank holiday weekend hubby's going to be busy hanging up plants lol.... Have a lovely weekend,do you have bank holiday also this weekend? 😀

I work with air dry clay a lot, and recently found this product called Glorex clay density sealent, which promises to make your clay waterproof so you can make vases and such. I only just got it in the post today, so haven't had a chance to try it yet, so can't speak on if it actually works, but thought I'd share in case someone wants to try it out.
