I have watched over 100 bone conduction headphone reviews, and .. WOW! You pack more relevant product specific details into 2 minutes than anyone who doesn't even cover them in 10. I'm just halfway through your video. Great unboxing style.... I'm going to marry a Red-head!

Praise indeed MJ, thanks! I am a journalist so hopefully I know what I'm doing on the reviews front, glad you found it helpful and good luck in your quest to marry a red head, the very best of all the hair colours of course ;)

I am in a different boat for wanting bone conduction headphones. I am a stay-at-home dad and I want to be able to listen to music and podcasts or audiobooks while doing chores, but I still need to be able to hear my kids if they start to cry during their naps or if they are trying to talk to me. I went back and forth between the OpenRun and the OpenRun Pros. At first I was going to go with the Pros but realized that with the volume I kept them at while doing housework while listening for kids, the extra bass wasn't a bonus for me. So I went with the OpenRun and returned the OpenRun Pros. I do have two more coming to try out, including the Haylou ones. So we will see.

Thanks for the great review! I don’t usually listen to music when I run, but as I approach my goal of doing an ultra marathon, I see that it is definitely needed to keep the inspiration up and the boredom at bay, especially on those long, slow runs. I don’t usually go in for high tech, but it’s good to know that in this case, spending the extra money is worth it. I know what I’m asking for this birthday!

Agh! Great review, but lost my old cheap pair a couple of months ago and took the plunge on a set of H20 Tri multisport. Couldn't quite justify £160 and will refuse all offers of a trial! The ones I have are better than I had, also has storage (8GB) as well as rated to IPX8.
@wildgingerruns Жыл бұрын
Ha ha ah, yes Dave don't try the Shokz Openrun Pro, you'll want to go over to the dark side! 8GB storage is grand tho, the Pros aren't for swimming at all so for tri you defo need that IPX8!

Bone conduction is like magic! I've never listened to music while running until my marathon training long runs. But for most of my trail training I still don't listen to anything, preferring the sounds of the forest. The best part of these headphones is using them throughout the day for walks and other non-training times when I want music. Thanks for these reviews- I may get a cheaper pair if my shokz whenever my shock need replacing.

Glad you liked it David, I too never used headphones until these bonephone style ones came along, I wear them all the time round the house too doing chores! A podcast makes it more interesting. Claire

I have the Aftershockz but a cheaper model, around £80. When I tried my friend’s £160 pair it was hard not To buy those but budget was a consideration. I’ve had them 3 years and I’m still pleased with them

I had the Aftershokz Aeropex before that, they were really good, I would have been totally happy with them if they hadn't sent me the next pair up, they really are worth it - Santa 2023...!

My brother has ear issues (not hearing, more like repeat infections). He's used regular Bluetooth, in-ear, big closed-back, and is looking at bone conduction. I think the Pros will be great for him. He runs, cycles, commutes although in a relatively noisy environment, and listens to podcast at home while cooking and stuff. Yup, I'll get him the pros. And probably grab a pair for myself. Would work well with my home office, not sure about the mic though, but will see.

They are defo the best of the bone-conduction offerings but can be a bit quiet in noisy environments, have you also seen my open-ear review here? That might be of interest to your brother? kzbin.info/www/bejne/ql6ypKmYnbaXaM0

Very detailed review video! I think you can pay attention to the Wissonly Hi Runner. Most of its performance is as good as the few products in your video, but it has a higher waterproof level (IPX8), a more powerful MP3 mode (with 32GB built-in storage), and performs well both in running and swimming. From my personal experience, it's very good! You know, I used to use Shokz, but later I switched to Wissonly.

Hi! It's really a great review. However, I was wondering if it is possible for you to add a review for another cheap bone-phone. Remax rb s8 bone conduction headphones. This became very popular in my country, but there's no review and comparison with haylou purfree which is also available but a bit rare here.

Claire, my Shokz Run skips incrementally within a podcast. I am using it with spotify so your issue may be app dependent. Cay you please supply a link to one that you listen to (with adverts...).. Note that I sourced a very compelling unbranded headset that I will challenge on your behalf :)
@wildgingerruns11 ай бұрын
Hi there, I've since accidentally pressed the skip track function on mu Shokz OpenRuns and they did skip forwards 30 seconds (or so I assume), it doesn't mention this in the instructions though so I just thought they couldn't do this. Sometimes it does skip the entire pod tho, I'm not sure why, possibly I'm pressing a different button combo without realising!
