I love both books, but had a small problem with one part of Crooked Kingdom, just because it changed nothing and was kind of pointless. it actually pissed me off and felt like she was just for filling a trope thats been happening since the last Divergent :( Otherwise those two books are masterpieces!!

I've actually been in a huge reading slump for the last 2 1/2 years where I felt like not reading anything because of moving to a new state, finishing my senior year of high school and living at home as a high school graduate with no clue of what I want to do in the future so I've just been in a mindless depression-like state of mind. However after finding your channel near the end of this year, I began trying to regain my old love of books. So, my favorite books list of this year is really short with the only two books being book one and two of The Haunting of Sunshine Girl series. Me and my brother both read it and both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. For 2018, I'm hoping to read a ton more and I even have a list of books in my notes app written down that seemed really interesting to me. So, this video has given me some more books to look into. Thank you for listening.

Have you tried audio books? It would be a change of pace from the regular reading you used to do and fell away from. (Find one that has a really good reader.) I have sight difficulty and only read when I have to for school - but a good audio book is fast and fun - especially on a road trip!

@Trishabharti6 жыл бұрын
Bruh Scorpio races is so fuckinh good
@ender43444 жыл бұрын
LNO PGDN III -no, not really. There are references and there is a sorta major thing mentioned throughout. Also, keep in mind that the introduction to the world is not easy to understand if you read it first. The Grisha trilogy has a softer introduction because they're the first books set in the world. -But know that if you want to read King of Scars, you should probably read the trilogy because I read the first page, and got confused lol. So, I'm reading the trilogy rn (on the second book, and, so far, it's very enjoyable imo). But, keep your expectations fairly low for the trilogy (otherwise you may feel underwhelmed, or so I've heard)

OH MY GOSH, The House on Mango Street IS PHENOMENAL. I SCREAMED when you mentioned it! I love how you describe it, too. From my knowledge, it’s based loosely on Cisneros’ experiences, and then she changes them slightly. It’s one of my all time favorite books because to me, every single vignette is filled with something important about life, like it doesn’t feel like anything was thrown in as filler content. It’s beautiful and at times it’s heartbreaking and I’m rambling now, but it’s the best and I can’t recommend it to enough people.

Hey Jesse! Just wanted to say, that if you're looking for a long, interesting read, I suggest a translation of a book by a Spanish author named Laura Gallego. The name of the trilogy in Spanish is Memorias de Idhun, and in English, an exact translation would be Memories of Idhun. It is full of twists and romance and fantasy! Might be hard to get it, since it was published in Spain, but trust me, the money and wait for it to ship is WORTH IT! Thanks for the vid also! Bai! ;3

Yes! So glad to see Lord of Shadows on this list. I was so emotionally traumatised after reading that book that I ended up in a reading slump for about six months. That hasn't happened to me since i read clockwork princess. I loved it so much!!!

Books I have read in 2017: Misery (for the fifth time) Asking for It Great Expectations Lolita Dubliners The Color Purple Little Women IT ( for the ninth time) And I did all of that while being a full-time mother, so if I can read that many then there is no reason for those who claim to not have the time to read.... 💙love books💜

While my favorite books of this year I wouldn't consider new favorites, there still worth reading, some of them are Everneath by Brodi Ashton, Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty, Raven's Peak by Lincoln Cole and American Gods by Neil Gaiman, I'll probably do a video talking about them all (and yes, I have started a channel, I started doing some videos back in late September)
