@@playhard8600 dude, if it was a fight for life or death, these guys would dumpster your butt to the next dimension. One can be lucky, that they use safety-protections and that these atheletes can control their techniques.

@@tilleisbaer3560 how you know they would do that how do you know I'm not an athlete and I've been doing martial arts for years full contact you don't know that you think these people could do that Just like I don't know who you are you can be the best tennis player in the world you can be the best commentator What I do know is I've been doing this for years it's been to full contact fights been to plenty of tournaments been to sport point sparring been to street fights been to professional fights competed in professional fights There's different levels in skills when comes down to actually fighting in the streets and it can still also show when you compete that's what separates the men from the boys...

@@playhard8600 well, let's get to know each other: I practiced Karate since I was twelve (now 30). I got taught that fighting has to be the very last option. The only exception is fighting on competitions, which has several rules to assure the athletes don't get seriously hurt. One of them is to keep control of yourself and your techniques. Self defense is a whole different thing. These guys know how to handle certain situations, as any athlete on this level has a black belt somewhere around 3rd to 6th dan. You don't earn these graduations by chance, you work hard for a belt. But you already know, I guess. Sure, Karate went a whole way and changed compared to what it was 20 years ago. There is room to discuss. But things change by time, even Karate. You don't practice Karate seriously, if you just want to brawl with thugs on the street.

Wtf bro this was a heck he'll fight, but I think aka was the one who was winner because 3 point ao front yakamousi was fault he was disbalanced and they didn't even see in footage , it's was not a clear hit . I think in karate their is too much injustice. It would be 10 -11 but he got aka got nervous if it's was not it the the game would be opposite. But great game... Loved the Speed of both aka 2 point kich was fantastic and ao 3 point was unexpected nice flexibility.... Both were fantastic.. one of the greatest kumite ever. Saw before

Their Kamae is one-dimensional. This redners them vulnerable against semicircular kicks ( Mawashi/Ura-Mawashi ) and Kizami-Zuki punches. The front hand in front of their jaw is "locked" to an awkward position that can pary only towards the inside and never towards the outside. The successful long range Kizami Zuki of the "blue" at 4:04 bears out my assessment. I prefer the more natural Kamae of the JKA competitors. There should have been a "freedom" of personal style. This is too much conditioned and far from the real life survival as is shoud be as a martial art.

I recently starting taking kimute professionally, what I know is that unless you're doing some side full contact sparring, you'll stay where you are and never improve, it's a shame that something so beautiful as karate is chopped down to bits when it becomes a sport
