That's pretty cool having your kid out there and getting him involved in your passion. The BC Racing are holding up fine settings are just right for the height. Just more seat time now then power down the road👍
@RefineMovement

Thank you! It is so fun getting my son involved. It's cars anything that he's interested in. Yeah, BC's holding up well and I agree the ride height is good. I would like some more low, wondering if it would help with the body roll since I don't have sway bars at the minute. Thing is, I'm very comfortable with how the car handles and rotates and I do think the ride height and body roll is playing its role in that. We'll see!

@@RefineMovement yeah if you like the look and want some rigidity get a good sway bar for the front don't go big in the rear because you will suffer in the corner. Another way you could get a little more in the corner would be going a little lower but get your tires out with 5mm wheel spacers too to widen the wheel base but you run the chance of wheel rub and having to roll the fenders. You have options and I'm sure you will find the right combo playing with it. 👍😎

I don't comment very often but I have to tell your son is the best addition to your videos. Forget the 360 cam, add more father son content. My son will graduate high school in 4 months then off to boot.camp, they grow up fast. Thank you for keeping the channel going.

That's awesome to hear, thank you, Jeff! I was hesitant to bring him into the videos and social media...all that stuff, you know. But he's been out there with me in the garage a lot and so I figure it's time. As for your son, congratulations to him on graduating and wow, big step going to boot camp. You must be proud.

Love that you're getting your son trained young! LOL. Can't wait for the post track review. I run a similar setup except with the HPS in the front and OEM in the back. But after the B16A swap I may have to run your similar setup once i wear out my current pads. Always love the content from you guys!

Thank you, Anthony! Yeah man, been having a blast with my son out there. It's all new to him, you know so it's very fun watching his curiosity and knowledge growing as we go over what parts are called and do. I'm surprised to hear you were running only the HPS up front and oem in the back of your car on track. Even a step up to the HP+ would be a big deal for you then but yeah the DTC-60 is supposed to be the big boy step into braking so I'll let you know. A video will be coming on that for sure.

@@RefineMovement Sorry correction on my part, I AM running the HP+ on front and OEM on rears lol...sorry about that. That combo worked so well for me on my previous motor and suspension setup. I'm carrying more speed now so i'm still feeling out the fresh pair of HP+, but eager to step up if i need to.

Hey man great video. Good to see you teaching your son along with the rest of us! One suggestion I have is if you get a set of EX sedan or coupe rotors and calipers it makes a great upgrade to the front end. More swept area, with some added weight, but it should help bring the car down from higher speeds more quickly and therefore make it able to brake later into the turns. Good luck and again thanks for staying EG and SOHC!

Best Bang for your buck break up grade would have been the Wildwood for piston front caliber's. A lot of people only want them because they look good calm but they are 7.6 pounds lighter per each OEM caliber, they improve the breaking, and the steering wheel feels less heavy and more responsive. I love the 4 piston calibers I put on my EX.

More power will be cool for sure. Learning to drive with the D-series has been very fun though. If you've been on track before you'll know that just finding the balance of the car and getting the most out of any amount of power that you have is the real challenge and the real fun part for me. Thanks for watching!

I thought drilled and slotted rotors were better at heat reduction especially when racing. I use those on my Honda because they do seem to stop quicker.
@RefineMovement
@RefineMovement 2 жыл бұрын
For sure. I do have slotted rotors on the fronts for that very reason. For the rears, I'm learning they don't have as much impact on braking in my car how it currently is. Stock power and the highest speed I've reached is 107mph at Palm Beach Raceway. Hawk recommends to just stick with stock stuff back there for my current trim

Noob question: where did you get the disc conversion or kit for your eg? I have an ek with rear drums that I would like to convert. Is your bolt patter the same as your front or is it different? Thank you, love your content brother man.
@RefineMovement
@RefineMovement 2 жыл бұрын
So this car actually came with the rear brake conversion already done. Part of the appeal when I bought it honestly. But you can find the conversion trailing arm and rotor setup from any JDM engine importer. They always bring in other parts like this conversion as well. Bolt pattern is the same as the fronts for my car anyway, yes. You could always look for an EX or Si in the junkyard as well come to think of it.
