Great video Dru, I also bought two! I should have paid for the air shipping because they took 47 days to arrive! (Killer!). Anyway, I also ordered 2 sets of 100mm wheels as the 90s are pretty thin. I agree with you that this is the best board under $400! I paid $369 for one and $379 for the other. (discount code only worked on one board). My favorite things about the V3: 1-perfect amount of flex in the deck: great for carving! 2-Push to start feature is awesome! Not available on boards with Hobbywing ESC 3-Handle-It's perfectly cut into the board making it balance perfectly. 4-Cruise control feature, use it all the time at around 15mph, 5-Top speed and acceleration: amazing for a sub-$400 board, and 6-Price! Can't beat it! Everyone should own one of these boards, but for the price...get two! You won't regret it!

Yes it does brake well going downhills. Also worth noting that when you brake it creates a regenerative charge back into the battery. I understand that you have to be careful if you start a ride pointing downhill with your battery already fully charged as it can over charge the battery and then the ESC can shut down the brakes to prevent damage....

There are no all terrain wheels for the Meepo V3. I couldn't find any. How could I get AT wheels on my board? It's my first board, and I'm gonna ride it on crappy roads. Please and thank you!
@DruMarr4 жыл бұрын
Vincent L hello, what I meant by AT wheels or cloud wheels is that maybe because of the terrain around you you might have to consider purchasing a different board that comes / allows these wheels, the urethane on the motor just isn’t enough, the best thing you can do for the meepo is purchase the 100mm wheels, it does upgrade the quality significantly
@Sabertooth_543 жыл бұрын
What do you think is the best board for really bumpy roads the meepo or backfire g2
@DruMarr3 жыл бұрын
Meepo, they both have the exact same wheels 90mm, the difference is meepo has better power and torque than the backfire, it’s super zippy. The backfire is boring when I tried riding it, it doesn’t have the punch that meepos has, if you have really bad roads then they will both be bad, you will need to get a belt drive board with cloud wheels or a board like the wowgo AT2 so that you won’t feel any bumps. But if it’s your first board get the meepo, enjoy it, and if you need more comfort or power you can always upgrade :)

So what's the difference between buying the 100m set of PU SLEEVES then a set of 100mm wheels
@DruMarr4 жыл бұрын
Ayyub Zouari so the PU sleeves are for the back motors, and the wheels are for the front wheels, the only thing you need to upgrade is the PU sleeves because those are the wheels where you feel the most bumps and cracks because it’s not an actual wheel

@@DruMarr thanks for the answer, Can you compare the riding quality? Because you had problems with sidewalks and bumps
@DruMarr4 жыл бұрын
Cemyboy the F1 is also a hub motor board, the only way to fix the sidewalk issue is to just spend more money for a belt drive and cloud wheels. I bought the Wowgo AT2 but that is around $1200 which isn’t budget at all 😂. Just know that when it comes to this market you get what you pay for, so don’t put yourself in a position where you’ll sell your boards because they don’t feel good on the sidewalks. It all depends on your preference since the boards cost the same, they have the same performance as well, I would highly recommend getting the er version, I have both the standard and the er, and the er is literally twice the range, you have to decide for yourself if you’d rather have less stability because of the shorter deck, I love the long boards because I feel safe on them, you may not feel that comfort on a short board. But you do have more maneuverability, so it’s really all up to what you like! :)

Also, how is it feel when you push on the board? Like a normal non electric longboard?
@DruMarr3 жыл бұрын
It handles then like no body’s business, the v3 has plenty of torque to accelerate up hills and keep the speed, I always accelerated up them. Since the v3 have hub motors there no resistance when pushing like a regular long board, if anything it rolls longer because the board gives it the extra momentum because of the weight, so yes if you run out of battery you can push kick easily 🤙🏽

Thinking about getting it. I get 30min lunch at work and walking to a restaurant and back takes me exactly 30mins. So no time to eat 🤣

The Meepo mini 2 would be so great for you then! It’s super nimble and great for short trips

Came to say this. Video quality and coverage was top notch and extensive. But that bugged the hell out of me. Lol

So apparently it’s impossible to get the 100mm sleeves. WTF meepo
@DruMarr4 жыл бұрын
Yep, I got them before they jumped up in price
@cheefussmith93804 жыл бұрын
Dru Marr it’s not even price, it’s availability. They’re perpetually out of stock for months on end. The come back and stay in stock for a matter of hours. So I’ll wake up at 6am to a 3 hour old email notifying me they’re back in stock, and they’re already gone.

What’s better this or the yeeplay M2S
@DruMarr4 жыл бұрын
Yeeplay looks like a board made out of old 2018 parts, every hub motor is slower than the v3. The v3 is the king of torque and speed

The constant sound effects really took away from the video. Got to be honest about it

I have two Meepo boards (V2 & V3) for over three years. When these boards work, they are great fun. However, This is my major issue with Meepo. After riding your new Meepo board, fully expect the ESC AND /OR BATTERIES TO FAIL! It has happened to me four times. If your board is problem free for more than a year, consider yourself lucky. The proof is in the warranty. 6 months & 3 months for spare parts. This shows that Meepo does not believe in their products.

Yeah my meepo V3 has had issues left and right and it’s just beyond annoying and EXPENSIVE. Definitely switching companies
