Yeah I’m delighted it was an easy fix! I’m hoping I won’t have any more hassle now. I missed what you said about the bushings earlier! 😂😂 I have 100s on the back 92s on the front. I like to keep the back pretty tight to avoid speed wobbles, but I think I could probably do with loosening the front a little to make turning easier.

@@ronanhutchinson I'm the same on my mini board, I prefer softer bushings front truck, super surfy, rear trucks harder bushings and way too tight 😂 I've put a 44 degree baseplate on rear truck so it is less divey, less twitchy, I got even harder bushings on my longboard size board so might do the same on my mini later. keep up the videos man!! 👏🏼👏🏼

YOO, a follow up on my MEEPO v2 or smth.. I had a motor failure... super bummer.. I also had the Antenna head flying inside my ECU compartment causing the board to switch out during rides randomly lol, so I fixed that by throwing the metalstickytape thingy in the bin and just left the antenna top outside the ECU a bit, works fine. NOW.. the MOTOR problem.. while riding it suddenly switched off.. then I stopped turned on and off and it would work again for a few seconds and then cut off again or well it still turned around but at like 10%.. if at all! Here is what I did and how you can fix it, hopefully. First of all.. I had ridden my V2 since like 2016? up until 2020 when I got myself a Evolve GTR. Now as my GTR is in service I wanted to ride again and found my old Meepo.. so this thing had MILES on it.. I bet like 3000-4000km as I ridden it every single day unless rain or snow. So It was hard to belive that this rugged beast suddenly has an engine blowout.. So I started by checking inside the ECU compartment, checking wires, switching the working motor to the socket that the non working motor was and vice versa, the working motor always worked! So not an ECU problem. OK.. has to be wires or something, has to be. So I unscrewed the faulty wheel with the motor, I pulled off the tyre which is really easy and then you need to hammer a bit on the edge of the motor casing, so you pull the tyre off and push the motor casing off, if its stuck just use a hammer and gently tap it from all corners as there is a HUGE ballbearing holding it tight. So once I removed the motor cover I found all the circuitry and the wires connecting straight to the wheel. THERE.. I found one wire had worn out its rubber coating and the metal wire was exposed and im pretty sure it shortcircuit the wheel whenever it touched the motor cover.. so I put some new electric tape on it and pushed it back in to be as close as possible to all the other wires there. Sealed everything up.. AND IT LIVES! Full power again no issues at all! Hope this helps someone kek :P

That’s awesome! You’ve done some serious mileage on the board too! Sounds like it’s a pretty durable board. I’m glad taping the wire inside the motor got you back up and running. Yeah, hopefully your story will help someone else who might have a similar problem in future!

Since I got this board it has been nothing but trouble. The battery died after hitting a small bump and I had to buy a new battery. I bought an expensive extended battery and it broke again after a month. Similar situation where I was riding it fairly long distance and a good speed but when I stopped at a junction I got an error message on the controller and now nothing works at all. Company is a joke.

Which board are you using? I haven’t had any other issues so far, thankfully! I’ve also got a V4S and a V5 now. I’m pretty rough with mine (bouncing and droop back onto the road etc) and they’ve been ok. What you’re describing sounds like it might be an ESC issue / failure. Absolutely not ideal, but could be worth checking to see if something is loose or broken inside the ESC case.

Been dealing with an issue so I to this where one hub not specifically one hub but one of them will loose power half power breaks aswell or none on occasion if I lift the wheels like you did and it would start working for a bit 10 seconds maybe 5 minutes started after I made the mistake of taking on wet roads and it cut out I had to let it dry for a day and it went seemingly back to normal with the issues I have now if I open the sec and unplug everything and plug it back in it gets worse and improves usually during my second never found anyone with similar issues until now very interesting

That is very interesting. Have you checked all the cables going to the motors? Maybe something there is exposed, or shorting out? Check the antenna too, just to be safe. I haven’t had any more problems with my board since I taped up the antenna. I’m hoping it stays that way!!

I started to have this exact problem today on my older Meepo board, think its V2?! It just throws one motor to 10% of power when I start riding, it may ride normally for 10 seconds or so and then out of the blue it feels like one motor is not working at all. No idea what the cause is.. have taken apart the ECU part checked wires, everything seems fine there..

Oh no!! That sounds like a slightly different problem to me. Mine was more of an interruption between the board and the remote. My motors both remained equal the whole time. It could be a problem with the esc itself. Or it could be something wrong in the motor that’s dipping to 10%… either way, I’d recommend contacting Meepo first off. They might be familiar with the issue, and can guide you through getting it running properly again. I’m sorry to hear your board isn’t running right… it always sucks when they’re out of commission.

@@ronanhutchinson btw I also had the issue you had lol, but my stickytape with some copper was flying around the case, I just threw it away and left the antenna tip outside the casing :P worked fine after that

Ah sorry to hear that. The sheath on the antenna wire on my had a little tear so the internal wire was exposed. I just got some electrical tape and used it to seal the antenna again. So it’s been fine since I did that.

Meepo after sales service is so bad guys, hope for you to haven't any problem with the board. I wrote them already 100 time without any answers they just don't care about customer. I need a brand who take care them customer, meepo dont

Sorry to hear you’re having problems with Meepo. Their customer support were very helpful, but because of time zones etc. the back and forth I had with them took place over about a week. Luckily for me, during that time, I managed to identify and repair the problem myself.

Now I got new broken board and we are pinging emails for almost 2 months and they 4 times asked me to prove address to send new battery and ESC, but still nothing. :( switching to wowgo :) ... I just throw out 500 USD

Hey Ben. That sucks that you’ve had such a negative experience with Meepo. Which board are you using? I totally understand your frustration. The different time zones does make it challenging to resolve any issues. I hope the WowGo works out for you. Maybe there’s an electrical shop you could take your Meepo to that might be able to get it up and running again. I know you’d prefer that Meepo solve the problem… but if it’s too difficult to get a replacement part shipped from them, perhaps you can get the board repairs more locally?

Omg i have same problem! Keeps jerking the speed od brakes while riding. Contacted meepo but they just say I dont have warranty no more... And should buy new ESC and remote... But its really design fault and they should replace the part for free... I almost fell few times because of that. How do i fix it?

Oh no. I’m sorry to hear that. Open up the ESC casing and have a look inside. When you’re removing the cover, be careful in case the antenna or any other wires aren’t taped to the inside of the plastic and break. If they are, just carefully peel away any tape so the wires are all free before you fully lift all off the cover. Then check all of the cables for any breaks in the rubber sheathing. If you find any, just tape them up with electrical tape and hopefully you should be good to go. Also, check where all the wiring plugs into the ESC to make sure nothing has come loose. That could also be the problem, and should be an easy fix. If you can’t find anything wrong with any of the cables, I’d try disconnecting them, and reconnecting them to see if that solves the problem. I hope something here works and you can get back onto your board again soon. I hope this helps bro.

Oh no! That sucks. If it’s just the battery, you could order a new one from Meepo and swap it out. That seems pretty straightforward to do. If the circuits, connections, or cables are corroded I think there’s a solvent you can get to clean them. And once they’re cleaned up and dried out, it should all work again.

Oh no! That sucks. Yeah it’s really scary. Is your board losing power too? What board are you using? Definitely open up your esc casing and check there are no exposed cables causing a short. For me, it was the antenna, but if anything is exposed, it could potentially cause the issue.

I charged mine up today went like 3 miles and the board started dying now im home and I plug it in and it starts charging but ther is already 2 bars well thats wierd so I charge it 15 minutes later it's off? So I unplug it then plug it back it and it starts charging but it's 3/4 full. I repeat these steps and the same thing happens?

Oh no, that sucks… I wonder if it’s a problem with the battery, or the wires that connect to it? Is the battery old? Definitely contact Meepo support to see if they might have some solutions to get it running properly again.

I didnt get a reply from meepo. But I did figure out my problem I was watching the lights on the board itself for full charge buts its on the power supply. There is a little light on the power supply when you plug it innit will be red when it's done it will be green. Mine hasn't had a problem since. Hope that helps.

Aw that sucks man. I’m sure you could get a replacement antenna online, and either take it to an electrical shop, or solder it yourself if you know how…
