My last three gpus have been used and still are chugging along like the day I bought them. Was able to save 100s of dollars over the years. I recently got a used MSI 3080 for $550 and it was in great shape and is treating me well at 1440p

In Australia, there is literally no reason to go Nvidia sub $500 AUD, with AMD cards outperforming every potential rival. The RX 6700 is widely available at $450. the nearest Nvidia card is far more. Even stranger, it is, and has ben for some time, CHEAPER than both the RX 6600 XT ($470) and the RX 6650 XT ($500) (ALL AUD). So, while the info here is fine for the US market, make damn sure to check local pricing before making a decision.

I can't find the link to the source of the cost per frame data. You mentioned it was based on testing over a 100 games. Did you ran test yourself? I'm interested in RAM capacity and motherboard used.

Asrock still makes new RX 5600 XT with a sale price of 200$ at least in the U.S., and the A750 has had price cut over the last 48 hours bringing down to the 225$ range, it is extremely hard to keep with tech industry right now, and SVB being taken over by the FDIC any hope of a number tech companies holding out price hikes is basically gone, prices will be dropping further as all companies using the bank will not be able to make pay role now

I understand you can't buy it new, but it would have been excellent to include RDNA 1.0 cards like the 5700XT. They can be often available used for $125-$150 and would likely blow these charts out of the water offering comparable performance to the likes of the 3060 and 6600/6650XT for a fraction of the price.

as far as Ray tracing the A750 is vastly better than any thing on the list, it is currently performing more advance Ray tracing than a 3060TI while maintaining the same rasterization performance as the RX 5700 XT, and Intel hasn't even updated all their direct 12 drivers yet

@@hayseedfarmboy my 6700xt can play bdo just fine on ultra settings, and its the best looking game i have ever seen. Especially when you are in a forrest and the sun goes up. Cyberpunk? design failure, Star Wars redneck? design failure, what a mess. Raytracing in Elden Ring? Oh my god my card cant even run it and it does look like shit, what is this mess. Why are Nvidia supported titles and lategame added raytracing titles just so bad? Because its a useless gimmick thats why.

RX 6600 is an excellent card. I bought mine for $210 when they were going for $250. It kills 1080 and 1440p gaming with high settings. Best value as far as I'm concerned.

You value chart is unintuitive to look at. You have two value types; one with higher being better and one with lower being better; making it visually redundant. Example high FPS should be high while price per frame should be low. They should be separate lines

I've been seeing used RX 6800 (non-xt) popping up on Mercari & eBay for just under $400 and on Newegg & Amazon it isn't difficult to get new for under $500. It has 16gb of vRam and is comparable to the 3070ti (which has 8gb vRam) as far as gaming performance. I would say that's the best "overall value" if the potential buyer is willing to bump there budget from $330 to about $400. But I'm sure for many that would be out of the question.

You can currently buy old stock of first to second gen new RX 6800 XT for just under 500$. They are extremly loud and inefficient but when it comes to performance you can not beat them at that value. It's all about sniping good deals now where the new gen cards are slowly creeping into the market.

Thats the average of the lowest 5% sold for last month on ebay (excluding non functional / for parts). We did it this way to best represent lowest used prices vs lowest new prices, while mitigating issues from a rando card being sold for an unrealistically low price. Hope to see his helps!

I hate these budget videos. Amount of all videos on KZbin are budget this and that. You can actually save money by getting a job and buy the best there is with out having to buy a low end GPU only to upgrade it to a high end GPU down the road and wasted money on the low end gpu in the first place.
