Thanks for your update on the Maxus espresso digital scale. I need your help; I've had a Delonghi automatic espresso machine for many many years and know absolutely zip about the water to coffee ratio. I have just purchased the Maxus digital scale (arrives tomorrow) and want to know how to set it up for a ratio of 1:2 for espresso. What buttons should I press after I have filled the 2-shot dispenser? Thanks

Hit timer button when your machine starts the brewing cycle. If 18g of coffee is in your portafilter you want 36g of coffee in the cup at the end for a 1:2 ratio. And you are looking for a time of 25-30 seconds👍🏻

Does the weight drift when you place a hot cup on it? (drift as in the weight gradually increases)

If I was doing strictly espresso, then would you recommend the 2 decimal point version? Or still the 1 decimal point :)

Sorry about the late reply, but I would recommend 2 decimals for most coffee related uses.

using the cover can you have two cups on the scale at the same time?

If you are talking about latte size cups then no, but it fits two espresso glasses if you place them diagonally. I do that from time to time.
