+1 those micro are awesome, and generally ik multimedia monitors are very good, specially with correction software.I have a pair of genelecs 8331 as mains but I just love those micros.

I bought the iLoud portable monitors, I think they were $250. I’ve been crazy impressed with the performance of them. They didnt come with a mic to calibrate but they came with a carrying case lol. They sound great though I’ve been super happy with my pair. Oh yea and they have Bluetooth also which is hella nice too.

I was really impressed with my Iloud MTM’s! But they cramped Out a bit to much (port issue)and i trust my Genelecs more. But Man! for sure these Precisions will be awesome! My Dad is very happy with the MTM,s now and i have another spot in an untreated Room to test my Mixes and Masters with free beers included 😊 nice vid David!

Bravo, finally an honest review which report the pros and especially the CONS (for your taste and comparing them to your standard way to work). The others on YT sound generally so sponsored. I'm between the precision 6 and neumann kh150. Right now i own the kh120a+ adam sub7 pro but i wanna eliminate the sub... i definitely wanna try both before the investment.

I run them without the calibration but i am thinking about the new Arc box, btw have you tested their new calibration box? Best thing about these speakers is the calibration sets the mode in the speaker and not some inline plug in like Sonarworks which has to be run all the time.

Thank you for another awesome video. I would love to see your opinion on the ceptre 6 from presonus. The reason I would like that is because it is a completely different design from the speakers you normaly use. I tried them myself and had a chance to compare them with some really high-end speakers. One of the tests I did was using sonarworks reference and calibrate them to be as flat as posible and then used the target from the ns10 and mixcubes because I have them both in the studio. And the results where amazing especially with ns10's the only difference was that the ceptre's had more detail and a better stereo image and also a wider sweetspot. I think it would be a very interesting video.

They're both great monitors, very very different. I would try to take a listen to the Focal because the berillium tweeter is very peculiar, some people love it, some other don't.

I have the MTM with an added 10" sub. Super sound. Pensado use them as well as Ken Lewis. Clarity to make mix decisions are really good.

Hey David, question (because I know you are familiar with them)...Kali LP6...overhyped low end or stereo image? You did mention I believe that front ported speakers have more of an issue with this. So I'm curious to know your opinion, please?

The 6's have very comparable low end to these which are probably just a little tighter down there, the midrange is very very different tho' and I feel these might have a slightly more accurate stereo image but also I had the LP wider when I had them on.

The speakers are supposed to be positioned and angled in an equilateral triangle with the listening position, for phase and timing. I didn't notice and considerations given to that during the set up?

Because they're not "supposed to" , that's just a safe, common starting point. There are 1983746835 variables to take into account when placing speakers

Those monitors are not budget monitors, they cost 2000 dollars for a pair, budget monitors would be M-Audio BX8, Adam Audio T7V/A7X, Swissonic 308 or Kali Audio LP 8

I'm sorry to break it down to you, my friend, but $900 IS budget. Do you realize the average cost of studio monitors? Yeah that would be double that and that would be still in the lower end. No not everyone can afford these. A lot of people can't afford a lot of things, that doesn't change the ACTUAL average and objective price ranges. So no, my friend the title isn't "misleading" 😄 (also my monitors are 12K+ not 5)

How many of these items have been sold in comparaison with other speakers at the same price range? Then, I would have 5 whys to find out why other brands than IK mointors have less buyers despite its amazing quality? So, I am sorry to break it down... When it comes to data, you don't need to guess, it's factual. 🙂
