I would love to copy down not only this fabulous recipe but where this dependable Bundt pan came from originally! I know you mentioned she’s old but I can’t seem to find a simple one like her anywhere. I have my second one that I butter and flour and treat it like a baby and I’ll be so unhappy every single time! Every cake is sunken in lower than a gophers basement!!! Yes I did say that lol ! Should I not butter and flour and just use Pam? Miss Tracie, I enjoyed watching you and trying this I did try a few different things I did not make the butter pecan filling I made it so it was on top of the cake -like an upside down cake, and it's in the oven now and I am pretty sure it is going to be amazing. I had to avoid the sugar so I did eliminate the brown sugar and the regular sugar, I used a bit of honey and some stevia as well as a drop of sugar-free maple syrup for the topping. I enjoyed watching you as you are very calm and chill and work at a very easy-to-follow pace, so many cooks are too fast and are adding odd ingredients, that are not in the pantry. You used items that I had and it was the first time in many years that I made a cake from scratch you made it really enjoyable... Thank you I will be following you and trying other things that you are doing.

Hi Tracie, I attempted to make this recipe for the first time. But in my opinion the cake was dense and not as moist as I would have thought it would be. Where did I go wrong?

Hi! Sometimes things do turn out differently in high altitudes etc but if you’d like to try 1 cup of evaporated milk instead of the sour cream and that should definitely help it not to be dense. Also if it is cooked too long- the cake will not be as moist. I hope this helps 👍🏽
