Inglorious Basterds has a perfectly serviceable transfer. It's not the best out there but whoever compared it to freaking T2 must have been huffing spray paint when they watched it. It's not even in the same universe as that monstrosity.

Nice Pick ups Susan! I ended up with Free Guy steelbook, Inglorious Bastards steelbook, and the universal monsters 4K set. I will pick up the Friday steelbook set sometime this week. Oh and Challenge accepted my friend I shall fond Dinosaur Hotel and buy it! Ill make sure Dave does the same so we can do a video commentary on it 🤣

My local Best Buy didn't have Free Guy steelbook nor the Inglorious Basterds steelbook. I got Carlito's Way steelbook and The F9 steelbook. I've heard F9 sucks but I own the other movies Misery is Kino, they rarely have their movies in stores

Hello, picked up Inglorious Basterds none Steelbook, the Green Knight, Missery, Free Guy none Steelbook and Donnie Darko arrow special edition., the road, and bandslam.

I picked up Inglourious Basterds steelbook (the transfer aint that bad though, not the best yes but it still looks much better than bluray for sure), and The Green Knight in 4K (great film as well!)

The Friday the 13th steelbook only has the 8 movies because those are owned by...I believe paramount. I picked up that set the first time they issued it on bluray so cheap I couldn't justify an upgrade unless they were 4k. Now the reason the scream factory boxset has all the movies is amazing...they always seem to get studios to grant them permission to do things like that. Again, I tracked down the additional movies in separate editions so I couldn't justify buying that set either.

I believe that Misery is a Kino Lorber release and usually you have to order theirs online. They rarely stock them in stores. I noticed they are getting bigger titles in their catalogue.

Misery is a Kino Lorber release they are mostly online only. I don’t think they have ever been at best buy or target or walmart however i have seen kino lorber at FYE before.

I was able to order inglorious bastards and Carlitos way for pickup. For some reason I couldn’t order FREE GUY for pickup at my store. I had to order for pickup at another store 35-40 minutes away. But when I went in to pickup those 2 at my store they did have 2 copies of Free Guy so I got it and canceled the other order. Saved me a trip and fuel by not having to go to the other store.

Inglorious Bastards does not have a new native 4K transfer we all were hoping for. Universal used the same 2K transfer from the original bluray and upscaled to 4K. Tarantino did not work on it at all. It’s unfortunately just a cash grab. Save your money until a huge sale.

Sue where did you read Inglorious Basterds had a bad transfer? I looked over several reviews for the audio and visuals for this release and most are 4.5 to 5 stars out of 5. I think for a QT movie they wouldn't release a sub par edition. I had to order my releases as I couldn't make a trip out today. Sprained ankle and waiting for it to heal is rough. =/

I’m quite sure it’s the video/review by films at home. But I think the way it looks and everything comes back to personal preference. Some people (like me) don’t mind the transfer and some people mind and feel they deserve something better.

I’m happy with the scream factory set from last year for Friday the 13th. Free guy is one of my favorite movies of 2021 it’s still currently playing at my regal theater and i think they’re finally losing it after Friday.

I bought that box set with the lithos day one. It came in a huge Scream Factory specially printed box. I'm not upgrading to the steelbook, just because they released this around Halloween. =/
