I like the intelligent way you choose the camera as you would film, when it renders images like drawings, texture, that suites you taste in shooting. A lesson for those obsessed with gear, tech, and sensors ! This tends to become an obsession. Good thinking! As any professional will tell you, it’s different cameras for different jobs.

So funny! The dreams (and nightmares) are literally how I end up justifying and validating my need to buy that camera! And the refresh on the tracking when it's in situ. Heaven help the retailer if it doesn't arrive at the expected time/date (even if it is an ETA) 😂

You talk about how you love the image quality of this smaller sensor. I still have my first DSLR - the Canon EOS D30 with the humongous/S 3.1MP sensor - and I love the "painterly" effect you can get with it.

If the RX 100 VII is of interest to you - you may also want to look at the Lumix GX8. Interchangeable lenses make it more versatile and my special favor is the tiltable EFV viewfinder - no longer having to kneel for eye level portraits.

Do you always have the UV Filter on the lens with adapter and what brand is your adapter? and can u still use Flash ok with filter on ? and is your magnetic one or not as heard when using flash or red light to focus in low light adapter filters can block this?

Nice video. Qvestion: Do you have any problem with RX100 in bad weather ? I want shooting in snowy enviroment but I am little be woried about durability problem. (speciali in '"zoom" parts of lens).

Definitely a concern, I don't think the weather sealing in these cameras is as good as in the bigger bodies. Snow might be ok as long as it's "dry". Also, if it's raining, I try to keep the camera in my pocket all the time, pulling it out only when I see something.

I have a superzoom lens, the 18-135mm for my Fuji cameras, meaning it's built for much larger sensor, but the image still goes soft towards the long end of the lens. Unfortunately...

I've been waiting for a year for Sony to come out with the MK VIII but finally gave up waiting - probably a mistake but at least I finally have the pocket camera I wanted - although it really IS small - so small that for me - large hands - it's hard to get used to. And as my first Sony it's a challenge as I am a Canon guy but Canon has nothing like this little camera, so Sony, here I am.

New camera .... My heart says yes, but my brain says "no the wife will complain", and so I nearly always buy secondhand. A pristine 5 month old Lumix TZ90 for nearly 50% less than retail price, and with a 30x zoom (yes, it's not the fastest aperture wise, but a huge range for travel and wildlife), image stabiliser, great battery life, and WiFi for transferring images on the go. I also have several compact digital cameras with small range, but faster aperture zoom lenses. For those moments when I need the ultimate in speed, interchangeable lenses, I reach for my Canon, Olympus and Lumix bodies / lenses.

Have you thought about switching from Bronica to Mamiya 6 to minimize weight?

Not really, I like the Bronica because of the experience shooting with the WLF. The Mamiya 6 looks a nice camera but the experience would be very similar to a 35mm camera or even a DSLR. Just bigger.

I like that! Your photos are really like paintings with a lot of personality! Why most photographers try to do so editing to their photos, sometimes looks so fake!

For sure the Bronica is not good as the only camera one owns. I went through that whole issue with my Hasselblad gear. In order to take lots of great photos, one needs to carry the camera all the time, and that's hard when it weighs 10 kg or more. However, I now just have the Hasselblad with the 80mm lens on a long strap and carry it on the side, almost like a small "purse". It's much easier than having it dance around on the chest. I also preload a 2nd magazine before leaving the house, so I always have access to another 12 images there.

Wow, that's a lot to carry! I had my Bronica on a strap for a few weeks but it didn't work for me. Carrying a Hasselblad and an extra film back with you is pretty impressive.

Hey buddy, interesting video! I have the impression, that your intention is to produce artistic photographs. Yet, all the Q&A is technical, like lenses, resolution, etc. That is quite a bummer...

That's true. In the end, that's why I bought this camera, because having one with you at all times makes you a better photographer, gives you more chances to take great photos. Being so small, no one cares about you and you might have a pass taking photos that could get you in more trouble if you were using a bigger camera. I like to be "discreet". And as I mentioned in my previous video, I've been shooting with the LCD screen (even though this one has an EVF) which has changed slightly how I compose and make my images. Qué cámara tienes? Sí que le echado un vistazo, pero las cámaras que he visto son bastante grandes (GH5, G9), al menos tanto o más que mi a6500. La que más me interesaba es la LX100, pero no tiene el alcance de 200mm y tampoco tiene entrada de micrófono.

@@aows Tengo una Lumix G1, la cargo con el 17 MM pancake y con el 25 MM F 1.8. o con un zoom 70-135 MM equivalente que cabe en el bolsillo trasero del pantalón. Igual las Lumix GX y GF son aún más pequeñas porque prescinden del visor electrónico, tal vez deberías de hecharles un vistazo.

@@oxentielreadman esa sí que parece más pequeña! De todas formas ya solo el cuerpo es más grande que el de la RX100, si le añades objetivos es considerablemente más grande. No es que eso sea un problema, pero no es lo que estaba buscando con esta cámara. Esa sería una buena opción para reemplazar mi sistema APS-C en el futuro :) Gracias por los consejos!

I wanted a compact camera that fits in my pocket, the only one Fuji makes as far as I know is the XF10 and it's a fixed 28mm lens, so it doesn't work for me :)

@aows Xt30 with 23mm F2 or 16mm F2.8 lens can be nice alternative for you too... It is compact and beautiful. Also X100F would be nice. These Fuji cameras are already very small and good for bad weather conditions not like Sony:)

@@GKhanKutar I'm sure they are amazing cameras, they are just not compact cameras, though :) The thing about the Sony is that I can fit it in my raincoat's pocket if it's raining and take it out only when I'm ready to shoot. The X100 cameras are very nice, my wife has a X100T and I love using it but once again, it's a fixed lens and it doesn't really work for me.

I am so glad I am not a photographer. You need too much stuff and all that digital crap you have to do and deal with, not to mention people you have to please. Then there are all those stupid rules and post processing nonsense. No thanks, being a photographer sucks. I just like making photographs I like, particularly with old vintage film cameras.
