Best cameras in the beginning. I´d put Fuji as #1 and then Ricoh as #2 for a start but then it´s just Sinéad O'Connor voice I hear... Fuji for it´s great feel and image quality, Ricoh for bringing back the first pocketable pro compact since the good old film times.
@lazfrombudapest80533 жыл бұрын
Funny how the Ricoh ad is the only one that focuses on photography and actually showcases some decent shots, the others are more just camera porn, or shots of pretty models. I'm not saying the Ricoh is better than the others (it's pretty outdated in many respects), but for me their ad was the only one that made me want to go and take some photographs. I have a GRV and still love it, so perhaps I'm biased.
@alice45-fgd-456drt2 жыл бұрын
Completely agree though, I don't understand why any camera producer would want to make the ads they're making. I'm interested in what the camera can do, what pictures can it take, how does it handle bright/low light, contrast etc. I don't actually care much how sleek the casing is.

Well, I have a RX 100 XI, bought it because of the 4K video option. But to say it frankly, I was much more happy with my old DSC WX 350 (1080 dpi video). Besides of normal vids I use the cams for climbing / mountain hiking videos. The advantages of the old cam are clear, her smaller size and and by far lighter weight. I've trusted a test I've read where the RX was described with 260 gramm, NO WAY, it has around 500 gr. Also the RX has no steady shot for 4k videos which is quite a disadvantage by making hiking videos. I don't use the view finder, doesn't need him, so the only advantage is the 1 inch sensor. But I will keep on using the RX now. On the plus side there are the brilliant colours and quality in standing mode. The producers are driven by the media, testers demanding view finder etc. but that makes the cam heavier and bigger, personally I don't need that in a compact cam, I need a high quality cam which is light and small.
@GrzegorzSkoczylas4 жыл бұрын

Can you put the camera with the lens mounted in your jeans pocket? We're talking about compact camera. You're missing the point. Xe3 is compact, but the moment you attach a lens bigger than XF27 2.8, it no longer fits in a pocket like the ones in the video.
@michaeld58883 жыл бұрын
@@shawnj8765 A good choice is a Panasonic GX880 with a 12-32 lens which is my pocket compact. The larger m43 sensor offset the slower lens to some extent. This will fit in a coat pocket and not a write off when the sensor gets dirty as the lens pump air in these compacts. The combo goes for £349 in the UK at the moment. Strange comparison, some have fixed lenses other zooms. I have reached the opinion that any modern digital camera takes good enough photographs for anyone except a commercial photographer. So how can you chose between them, look for faults and weaknesses. I had the early Sony and I could not use it in a ski resort because I could not read the screen. However the modern Sony probably has the best auto-focus of any camera here. The camera with the best specs for me is the Panasonic, manual controls, wide enough lens and viewfinder, but I would not buy it. The sensible choice for a fixed lens is the Ricoh, but I would buy the Fuji. For the zoom I would buy the Sony if the price was lower. I have no comment about the Canon.
