Late to say me too but yeah, and it's the one thing you're pretty sure to be doing if you're out overnight. So it's strange that a typical modern camping knife is wrong for food prep in every way-geometry, knuckle clearance, and blade length. If I were out with a number of people for multiple days I'd just bring a six-inch Mercer Genesis. Thirty bucks, four ounces, and miles better for food than any camping fixed-blade.

I like that you covered both folders and fixed blades. Some people think that a camp knife needs to able to defend against grizzly bear attacks and Communist military invasions. 99% of what a camp knife does is just light duty camp chores like cutting up tomatoes and making feather sticks for fire making. I love my Mora and I really like the plastic sheath. But I have a 119 buck that I use for heavy duty work. The Mora gets most of the attention and covers almost everything. Sometimes I wonder why I carry the Buck accept maybe for that possible zombie attack. I'm thinking of downsizing the Buck119 to something about 2/3 its size for weight reduction. The one thing I don't like about the Buck 119 is the slippery handle.

4:16 Part of the beauty of mora knives is that they are dirt cheap and really high quality. While adding a leather sheath may improve the aesthetics, it would probably double the price. Moreover, the sheath is extremely versatile; there are countless videos on KZbin showing you how to wrap it paracord, attach a fire steel etc. However, a leather sheath on some of the older models (classic 1, 2 and 3) would be a great idea because a plastic sheath on a wooden-handled knife doesn’t look right. Apart from this, great video though.

The surge is better then the wave. Especially for camping 👍 (replaceable wood/metal cutting blades)

Well yeah. But back in my party days, I preferred something with a little more “zing” to it for breakfast. Downers were for the after party

And that’s what makes him a great “lifetime” employee...will work 9-5, “dude I’m stoked”, overtime: “sure, gimme a sec I left my snack in the car (runs out for one more quick dose-works more hours). Will go camping, sleeps outside with bong all night, eats Cap’n Crunch after quick morning bong-with a handmade spoon, or with hands, or bend paper bowl for mass consuming. Loyal employee

Lmao let the man live! I enjoy videos where you guys have "guests" on. I just enjoy seeing different people on there, especially since they all dig knives. Always a fresh perspective and varying descriptions on knife features.
