Good to see you again. Thank you for bringing back some wonderful memories of times we used to spend around Linville. When we weren't camping, loved to spend the night at Little Switzerland on the parkway. (Wonder if that little motel even exists, today.) Again, an appreciated video, that's for sure!

Thanks so much for checking out my video. Glad it brought back some pleasant memories. Indeed it is a really nice area. I think I know the little place you are talking about, but its been a while since I was through there and I’m not sure if its still there.

@oldtimerlee8820 I was just up in Linville a month or so ago. I can tell you, Little Switzerland is still there and looking beatiful. I drove right past it!

@@nathanbenjamin1577 Thank you for letting me know. I used to stand on the balcony with my father (later my better half) and watch the sun rise. Enjoyed seeing fog drifting in the valley. Peace and serenity! Thank you, too, for bringing back some wonderful memories, from long ago, this afternoon. God Bless.

Thanks so much for checking it out, ny friend. I’m sorry for the delay but I’m not as active on here as I used to be. Yes I snagged an outstanding campsite. It was very cool to see the jets coming through. Pretty wild to be standing on a mountain looking DOWN at fighter jets lol

Thanks so much for checking out ny video. It was a really fun trip and I had the perfect camp site. Catching the jets in the gorge was awesome, though difficult to get on camera. Most of the time they were already going past by the time I heard the sound. You should get back down there when you have a chance. Great place!

Its on Old 105. I think its also known as Kistler Memorial Highway. Its on the west side of Linville Gorge. If you’re on that road you can’t miss it if you’re looking for it, very easy to spot. Thanks for checking out my video.

@@HarrisonBernath Thanks for checking out the video. I don’t use gps so I can’t give any coordinates sorry. This site is not hard to find though. Not many sites have gorge views, but there are numerous great places to camp all along 105. You shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot.

Thanks so much, my friend! Yes those were definitely some good pilots flying fast and low down in the gorge. I thought they were Air National Guard but I’m not positive. I saw several of them come trough but it was a challenge to get video.

Do they do flybys in the middle of the night? Hearing jets at 3am may just make me need a change of underwear. But definitely a cool campsite.

Thanks for watching! I dont think the jets fly at night. And even during the day its not extremely common.

Couple of silly questions. What do you take for protection out there and are those Jerry cans for water or gas?
@SmellNRoses5 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for checking out my video. I have two jerry cans, actually one is for gas and one is for water. The water is mainly for cleaning although it is potable. I have other style containers I use for drinking water. And yes I usually have something that goes boom too.
@erhiancheong2 ай бұрын
@@SmellNRoses Looking to go out there at some point in the future. Just curious. Do you bring your boomer for people or for bears?
@SmellNRoses2 ай бұрын
@@erhiancheong I just take the normal precautions with bears. Unless its a mama with cubs there’s little to worry about. In my opinion any threat of danger is most likely going to come from people or unsupervised aggressive dogs. I’ve had several experiences over the years to back up that opinion. Fortunately have not had to go boom on anything but been very close.
