I’m only a little late to this video 8 years ain’t bad. For sure fishing is permitted here and the fishing is good, have been fishing here many years. The conservation officers frequent this area and will check your fishing license (freshwater only) and state forest permit. Zoar may not have the best hiking but there is so much hidden just below the surface here, IYKYK, spend a little time here to discover. Great video as always BTW.

How were you able to get your truck all the way up to the fire tower? Every time I go there is a metal blockade i have to park and walk the last stretch.

What is your advice with a truck thats 2wd with auto LSD ? Should i take the chance or just find another trail?
@SmellNRoses27 күн бұрын
@@JayAquino-ip6wj thanks for checking out my video. If you just want to go up to the top of Flagpole, you can go up from the Briery Branch Road side. Its pretty easy on that end. Dunkle Hollow is really not bad but there are a few steep climbs near the top you would almost certainly spin without 4wd. I’m not saying you cant make it though. You could always go up Briery Branch and then go down Dunkle Hollow, then you’d have gravity on your side in the steep parts. Have fun man.

Very nice video. The road looks narrow. Can two vehicles pass each other safely, or are there pull overs along the way .

Hey man there is one deep hole on the end of the trail close to the parkway (sadly I didnt capture it for the video) but unless its changed you can easily get around it on the side. Otherwise you shouldn’t have any problems. Thanks for checking out my video!

@SmellNRosesАй бұрын
@@moe_rva1624 I was in 4wd the whole time but honestly didnt feel like I needed it. It was fairly dry at the time I shot this video. Its probably alot muddier and slippery now after all this rain. You’ll get better traction is you plan to go after its been dry for a while. Maybe go with another vehicle in case you do need a little nudge. Overall this road isnt that bad, but it has a few gnarly spots to watch for.

Hello there! I've did some camping this year in the Mini Camp Machine going out in Southeast Ohio this weekend. Enjoy your videos as always, thanks for sharing. Maybe we can hook up soon, will be heading back down SW Virginia next June and maybe head down Linville Gorge Old 105 seen you did a video down there. Take care and hope to see you soon my friend.

We normally camp on white top mountain yearly. Was wondering if you have any recommendations for dispersed camping that are a little closer to Charlottesville Va or anywhere between the 2? We would be going in October hoping to see some nice views from camp.

Wow,thanks, watching in 2024, Been using for 12+ years heavily. Often cutting bigger trees than intended. Still, the best camping saw I ever used. The red plastic part just broke on me this weekend, will be using this tutorial to get it running again.

@@lop830 thanks for checking out my video, so glad you found it helpful. I’m sure there are other ways of fixing that screw but mine is still holding up even after all these years. Admittedly though I dont use it as much as I used to. I finally wussed out and purchased a battery powered chainsaw. I’m still cutting bigger logs than intended haha. Let me know if you got your saw repaired.

This one NIGT our oldest daughter was riding with her bf in his car & we were in different truck. Well after we scared them acting like it was A bear coming out of the woods we go back home Rigt up on Weston rd. We had been back home only bout 5mins and the girls & bf pulled into driveway. All of them was big eyed saying why did y’all try and scare us with A bright flash and come down the driveway of the Big White House? We said WHAT R YALL TALKING BOUT We’ve been Home. They all said A light followed them down the driveway.. #2 story is My youngest daughters and one of there friends was riding and went to the White House and when we GO 2TURN AROD N FRONT OF THAT HOUSE….up N the top window was A young girl in her gown StareN out window I was not believing my eyes..BUT WHEN I SAY WE GOT OUT OF THER FASTTTT ITS A UNDERSTATEMENT… WE WERE FLYING N didn’t look back OR even say anything to each other…

What locks are you running on your Roam cases? Just ordered 2 of the cases and am wanting to be prepared.
@SmellNRoses3 ай бұрын
@@seancharley6921 Thanks for checking out my video. Sadly one of the biggest fails of the Roam case is the puny latches and inability to accommodate a real lock. But then again no lock is bombproof. I’m using ABUS 75B/30 marine grade padlocks. I purchased mine from an industrial tool supplier because they allowed me to order over a dozen locks all keyed the same.
