It's a real nice place, I spent my childhood camping all around there.

Shooting everything in the desert is a sport in Arizona. No signs, cactus, abandoned cars or buildings are safe. Thanks for watching.

Great area. Had no idea Salt River had that much water in it. Being from near the Great Lakes back East, out here most things are just dry washes. I assume that area is in Tonto National Forest?

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Yes, it's right on the edge of TNF and reservation land.

Maybe you prefer to not disclose precise locations but I’d sure love to either have ge coordinate or perhaps you just telling us a little bit more about the locations.
@xploremor3 жыл бұрын
I share quite a bit of info about this location. So have others in the comments. I even have a free .gpx track on my website. I don't want to make it too easy, the search is part of the adventure. Thanks for watching.

Do you have lockers? Are those Danas? Do you get nervous going by yourself, like in case you break something?
@xploremor5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have lockers front and rear, in the built Rubicon D44's. I don't get nervous about wheeling alone because I don't take unnecessary risks. My policy is, if I have to use the lockers, I shouldn't be doing it alone. I always carry every tool I've ever needed in my Jeep, nothing left in the garage. I carry spare joints, rod ends, heims, ball joints, nuts/bolts and when I'm crawling I carry spare shafts for everything. I always have gear to camp and hike out if needed. My added bonus is my copilot is a nurse. Thanks for the comment.

Not sure if you wanted to keep this spot a secret. I’d love to go visit it if you had maps location or coordinates

Did you actually camp or just stop for a picnic?
@xploremor4 жыл бұрын
No we didn't camp, just scouting spots on that day. There was a rock fire pit and plenty of flat ground for a few rigs. Thanks for watching.

Did you have to purchase the $15 Tonto pass? Great views and very easy trail.
@xploremor5 жыл бұрын
No pass is necessary since this is on regular Tonto National Forest Land and not an organized site.

Do you think a smaller sized stock truck would be able to make it or do you think the road is just too rock filled and would be too rough on it? thanks!
@xploremor5 жыл бұрын
If you have 4x4 and all-terrain or mud tires it shouldn't be a problem. Easy to cut a tire out there and there were a couple washouts on the ledge down that were pretty narrow. Recent rains could have changed it. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps.
