Context is what matters. We discussed this in our previous video. The favorite candlestick pattern we're going to talk about is the Flag.
Our example is in Oil. We see an extension move to the upside, followed by consolidation that creates a flag pattern. A great analogy is that you run quickly, then take a break, and then run again. Entry into this pattern is the break outside of the flag. What makes this pattern exceptional is the broader perspective. When we zoom out, you'll see a flat, vulnerable top on a much bigger timeframe that, when the flag breaks, can be easily targeted.
It's the context that truly matters in turning a simple pattern into a winning trade.
