In this trader training video Richard takes a look at oil on the price ladder. He looks at the bids and the offers and exactly where the market is trading at. The key thing to look at is the number of orders being traded which is on the right of the price ladder. In this video he explains what to look for on the price ladder. When you see a red number or a blue number. The first trade down if it’s red & the first trade up if it’s blue.

I took one recently and... you get _a lot_ for your money. Richard Baily is an extremely good educator with an actual Prop firm. I might recommend something else if you are an absolute n00b because the courses, while not complicated per se, are not entry level and assume you already know a fair amount. But it will take you _way_ beyond indicators and setups if you're ready.

Hi matey thanks for the reply. I took a trading course over at LAT. That was a good entry level course but looking to top it up with some new skills and futures seem like the way to go.

A question, if I may: we see the sellers bonking the price back down at 47 but why do we (well, I, as a novice) not see an equal an opposite buying on the bid side? More people with smaller orders? Icebergs? Is the ASK whale getting nibbled on by a school of smaller fish? Can we know? Do we care? Perhaps in the context of your lesson it doesn't matter but to the untrained eye it looks like there are just 34s and 35s sitting on the bid continually.
