Question on your Sicce canister filters when you clean them does the out take of canister have to be underwater when you disconnect canister filter from disconnect? Or can I disconnect it when tank is empty. It seems every time I disconnect it when water in tank is half way done it doesn’t fill up canister all the way and I get bubbles. When you clean yours is water completely full in tank or is water beneath out take. Curious how you do yours .

Did you have any problem with priming. I have my sicce 500 for two months and the priming sucks It won't prime is very hard to pull seams stuck I checked everything and everything is fine.

I got the tidal 110s and best part is motors r on the inside and when power goes out tidal self primes when power goes back on. Aquaclears well let's says good buy noting but a leaky mess. Tidals r takeing over the market now on the HOB better built 5 year warranty.

Having an intake on each side of the tank is what you want if you have both intakes on one side there will definitely be dead spots on the side where the outtakes are… plus on a tank like that the outtakes aren’t going to be moving water like you would want that’s why I have two Sicce wave makers on it too 🤙🏽💯🤙🏽

My tank is a 120 BUT... it just a grow out for him Peacock bass get extremely huge, I have a 275g pond that he will be going into this summer, min size for 1 peacock in my opinion 200g they can get up 2ft

Yeah when leaking it’s definitely user error people over fill it with to much media or they don’t double check to make sure the lids on properly I have 2 whale 500 whale 350 and a Eco 300 and none of them LEAK EVER… just my opinion that’s all🤙🏽🤜🏽💥🤛🏽🤙🏽 thanks Monica for the love and support

Glad I found your page , I have a 50 gallon tank that I am raising an Oscar in . After 1 year he is over 12 inches from being a baby ! When I set my tank up originally I bought a carbon filter that attached to the back of the tank from the local pet store . The filter isn’t keeping up with the Oscar and his waste . damm I don't understand why this guy only has 11k subs, he definitely deserves more, but I don't like canister filter because I got my first 75 gallon tank couple months ago for free stand and filter and everything. Then the first thing that breaks is the canister filter and it was a fluval. Then i order some cheap canister from ebay payed like 80 dollars for it, but it's always getting stuck, so it's always giving me problems. But for the most part eh I somewhat prefer hang on back filters

Just bought a Sicce Whale 500 because my SunSun finally bit the dust. Bought the Sicce because I was looking for the cheapest filter I could get for my 75 gallon and Petco is selling them on clearance for $99. Ordered online and got an additional $10. Used code 15OFF75 and got an additional $15 off (Oct 2024). $74 + tax out the door. Couldn't pass it up. I do have a Sicce syncro silent pump so I know they're good motors. Pros - Looks sturdy and well built. Love the hoses, nice and flexible just wish they were a little longer. Very quiet once it's running. Small and lighter than my old SunSun (my back thanks Sicce). OK, now the cons - That ridiculous spring clamp they have on the inlet and outlet. Do they really think that those two tiny dime sized suction cups are going to hold that pipe and heavy hose hanging off the back? I can't even keep them clipped on the spring they fall off all the time. I just took them off and I'll probably cut those dumb springs off too. And those little tabs on the underside of the inlet/outlet make no sense whatsoever. How many people have a 50 - 90 gallon rimless aquarium? My aqueon 75 gallon rim is over an inch thick. There is no way to secure it firmly to the rim without an actual clamp. It just kind of hangs there. Fortunately I found some old suction cups that fit the clear inlet tube. And yes, I did just hack those tabs off so it sits on the rim. Finally, no spray bar. I thought every new canister on the planet came with a spray bar. To be fair, I did know it didn't have one. But for 75 bucks I figure I could try to use one off the SunSun. (and yes, it does fit). But if I was to pay 200+ dollars for a filter I would probably expect one to be included. All in all I do like the filter. I think I paid what it's worth. If I had paid full price I feel I would have been cheated a bit.

You threw out those two perfectly good fluvals 😂🐠. It looks like a great filter. Sicce here in Australia doesn’t have a huge market. Only there wave makers are very popular. Fluval fx6 could be so much better a filter if only they increased their media trays. Hardly fit in any bio media. These sunsun/tray like designs are still by far the best. You should check out the sunsun hw300 anc 5000 absolutelygreat filters for value for money.

I got a small whale filter for a 20 gallon after watching this video. It’s sucks ....instantly lost suction and output pressure.my HOB penguin 2 was doing a better job. Gonna take it off and leave my hob get a fluval 107 never had a problem with my fluval. NOT YOUR FAULT ... just my experience

🤔 for biological filtration the ceramic rrings are pretty much garbage. They will serve you much better if you put them all in the bottom tray underneath the filter pads. This way the rings will act as a pre filter/ muck chamber and disperse the flow of water evenly through the filter pads. I hope this was of some help.

I have to say that I am disappointed: You said "I hope you liked this product REVIEW". This absolutely did not have a feel of a product REVIEW. This, at best, felt like a product PLACEMENT, but actually a lot more like an ADVERTISMENT. There was not a single objective input of your own. If SICCE didn't pay for all those canisters and the HOB, you have been royally cheated... I really like to know when somebody is trying to sell me something and it is a requirement in the US (and KZbin also has strict rules about this) to fully disclose paid content. Disappointed...
