Good to see a new creator with such good and edited content! I agree with most of your points but i have a few notes: - McLaren is nice as a beginner but only when using full wing. A new meta was discovered with this car some time ago using lower wing, but while faster, it feels horrendous to drive. So if you stay on high wing it will feel much better. - I can definitely see how you would recommend the Ferrari but I kind of feel it's a beginner trap. Yes, it is without a doubt the fastest car for a rookie but it is so because its electronics are the best in the game. This makes the car "forgive" driving mistakes and I believe you dont end up learning as much over the long run. Despite its attractiveness, I would recommend to stay away from it for a few months in order to learn the driving basics in another car. - This can be done safely in most front-engine cars and a few mid-engine too. BMW, AMR, Lexus, McLaren and Lambo are all good options in my opinion.

Thank you so much for the input here. I ran almost all cars on max wing in my testing as it just felt the best. Only now am I trying the 296 with less wing as I'm getting mowed down on most long straights haha. I remember the McLaren was very tricky on less then full wing, to the point it almost didn't make the list here. It felt like a different car on max wing. The Ferrari has certainly been treating me well in Rookie, but through all these amazing comments, I feel that once I get out of Rookie I need to quickly expand the number of cars I drive to further develop my skills. I'm sure there is some good content in the transition as well haha. Really appreciate the advice here!

@@BradleySettersMotorsport yeah, using the Ferrari for a while is not a bad idea at all, especially to get out of rookies and to get the hang of the game. Good luck! Liking your content so far, keep it up!

You make a very interesting and valid point re the Ferrari. Im a rookie/noob myself and find the Ferrari the easiest to drive. However in the league that I also race in there is a series for the BMW M2 and also the 992 GT3 Cup car. Both these require a massively different approach to the Ferrari (and to a lesser extent, each other) and the Porsche definitely feels its out to kill you at every opportunity. But I always find that after driving a few sessions and then a race in either of these cars, my lap times etc in the Ferrari also improve (still dog slow though!).I seem to learn so much from driving these low traction cars. And so overall I agree with your comment about the Ferrari perhaps not being the best for overall skill development, but if you are having fun and getting the results you want, there's always tomorrow to try another car👍🏻

Any front engine car feels like an actual boat to me. It costs me 1.5 to 2s vs the Porsche or m4 or ferrari in which I'm between .5s/lap.

There is a reason why the 296 is known not as Ferrari, but as the Cheatari in ACC community. Doesn't need special setup, forgives everything. The downside is that when other cars get special setups, it fells hard behind. Even the Audi becomes faster than it.
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
Thank you for this comment. Its not the first to talk about the 296 this way, Having a car so forgiving has been amazing to learn the ropes with. But it seem very apparent that once you are no longer a beginner you should diversify your car selection pretty quick.

When I hopped into this game, I had no idea what i was doing. My flavor of torture was the 2018 GTR. Though good enough on brakes and a rocket on the straights, it's a pretty hard car to get right and make somewhat competitive. Still a very good choice at some tracks however. With it, I learned how to tune mechanical grip and dampers to and its transferred over very well to all other cars (excluding the Porsche) that I've tried since. I wish this video existed when I was looking at getting into ACC. The information in this video is pretty spot on and ive confirmed some of it myself when trying to branch out from the GTR 😅
@BradleySettersMotorsport2 ай бұрын
Its pretty overwhelming when you first start right? I'm still struggling with a lot of it haha. Its nice to hear you think the info is about right, and I certainly hope it can help out a few players who are jumping into ACC for the first time. That GTR could be making a bit of a comeback though in LFM. Its pretty competitive in the latest season of the LFM Pro Series.

I think you're pretty spot-on, yeah. On a subjective note, the BMW's driving characteristics are the blandest I've ever encountered--it doesn't do anything badly and deserves its spot on this list, but I can't say I've ever actually _enjoyed_ driving it.
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
That's a good way to describe it actually. Sim racing should be fun first anyway right? I think all players should cross a car off their list if its not enjoyable to them.
@sneezindoggo65283 ай бұрын
BMW is basically a safety car up until to get to eight tenths or nine tenths. Once you start throwing it around it gets quite fun because it’s very responsive and it can easily be caught when unsettled and breaking traction. The car’s a hooligan if you’re able to find it’s limits
@wictorpoder3 ай бұрын
I had problems getting fast when i started. But then i found the bmw. the safety and stability made it easy for me to get up to speed and learn to find the racing line. It was fun, when you could finish a race and do it safely, both for you and your competitors and being somewhat competitive.(Not being a couple of laps down) Compared to crashing out because you wasnt smooth enough with your inputs in other cars. Now it feels to safe. So im trying with other cars. But the experience i got from the bmw was worth so much for me.
@CrashBandiii3 ай бұрын
I agree. I started my journey in the BMW, found it too safe as my skills progressed. Moved to the Aston, grew out of that quite quickly and am now in the Porsche because I want something that is more engaging to drive. Even if I'm a little slower than in the FR cars
@HomeCinemaJunkie3 ай бұрын
I agree regarding the Aston Martin - I get my fastest laptimes in it and still feel a lot slower than e.g. the BMW where I'm 1sec slower.😵💫

Hi i am pretty new to the game aswell. Although i love Porsche more than anything i was struggeling alot with it. The BMW understeered to much in the beginning, but after a slight antirollbar ajustment it came alive and i love it.
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
Yes I love the Porsche a lot as well. Its a long term project for me haha.
@TheWaggazMassacre3 ай бұрын
The Porsche is a b**** but you can make the rear more stable weirdly by going 47.6 on bias and full rear arb with rear bumbstop range lowered to like 15-20 rear damping needs some adjustment as well I found this tune from another KZbinr and makes the Porsche really drivable becomes a kerb monster
@Masteroffnothing3 ай бұрын
Good video. The 296 is a good choice :) I'm wondering that you didn't have a problem with the brakes of the mclaren. I've driven it and the brakes are the worst point on that car in my opinion. You have to hit the braking points exactly very clean to get the best braking. Just a little bit late on the brakes caused me going wide and missing the corner. Well.. every other car are forgiving on that point.
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
Thank you! No the brakes were not a stand out issue for me on the Mclaren. There were certainly cars that were worse. With the Mclaren the main issue I had, was when you didn't run it on full wing, it just was unstable mid corner.

So if you want to get faster with any car. Spend 10 hours in a porche cup car . No traction control no abs. If you Spend the time in these cars it will help drop lap times in all cars. This teaches you throttle and breaking techniques. After your all around time will drop. I like the work you do on your channel
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
I feel like this is a secret hack to ACC you have just given me. I will be trying this!
@jeffcurran41113 ай бұрын
@BradleySettersMotorsport I had another person mentioned about it. I was little nervous because only bad experiences in the Porsche. At the 3 hour mark. I went for 10 more laps to see dropped little more than a second. After the 10 hour. I went to my favorite car only to drop more and more through 10 lap sessions. Now drive back with Porsche 18 991. And the 992 you ask about the 991 I just love the sound. Now I do a league race every week but they give 3 options for car's. I feel comfortable jumping in to any car and do well. But I do let some new guys to your channel along with few others. Good job putting out a decent channel thank you
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
I just started using the cup car today. No TC and no ABS is a real challenge! Going to document the process and see how long it takes to work out. Thanks for the recommendation!

@BradleySettersMotorsport I really think you will get it. Lol I will be watching for you. I was thinking about not doing it at the first hour. Stuck with it and huge difference in driving other cars. Have fun and remember slower is faster
@jeffcurran41112 ай бұрын
@BradleySettersMotorsport so yesterday I started with my hardest to drive car. R8 audi only use the aggressive preset to be fair. I do 20 laps with each car. So far have got my fastest laps in the r8 like half a second faster. I think mostly because of throttle feathering and little bit of early breaking. Then noticed that my average over the 20 laps is almost 2 seconds faster. Now I do notice that you are better than me lol . I never race cars. But have experience in motorcycle desert racing. 11 years professional and 14 Baja 1000 races on a motorcycle. I do sim racing because of injuries from the motorcycle but only for fun. I am the guy that actually gives space to other drivers and am very respectful of the people around me. Don't get me wrong I do miss breaking points like everyone else and if I cause someone to spin or something like that I actually wait for them to get going. And I will gladly take 2nd or 3rd before taking or dirty move to get 1st. I personally like the racing weather mid field or just back and forth over the taking someone out. I like the work you do on your channel. Thanks the Porsche cup car has definitely brought my lap times down. I will let you know more after doing same testing on other cars

Whats the fastest way to gain my SA rating?
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
This is probably a whole video in itself haha. Avoid all contact with other cars, although sometimes that's not your fault. And stay on track, as even the small track limit warnings will bring down the SA even if no time is gained. So stay patient around other cars, drive clean, and the SA will work itself out.

Ford Mustang GT3. It feels exactly like a stereotype of an American car--wickedly fast in a straight line, likes to plow into turns (understeer) and spin out of them (oversteer).
