last year I bought a Nilight Air Compressor Tire Inflator for $30 with no batteries that just plugs into my acc plug and never worry about a dead rechargeable battery. works great when needed never effected by extreme heat or cold!

Nice unit but it needs a longer cord to reach the tires so you can plug it into your car if the units battery runs dead 👍😁

I've had this for 6 months and worked great. By design, as the tire is being inflated, it showed the increase in PSI as it's being inflated and would turn off automatically as the set PSI is reached. Now suddenly, as the tire inflates, the psi shown on the display never increases, so it never shuts down automatically because the displayed psi is stuck at what it started at. It works, but no longer shuts off automatically. Any suggestions on what the issue is?

It's not recommended to leave a lithium battery pack in the car. When it hits 150F in there on a hot day, the cells balloon and can leak, causing a fire. Seen pics of those cases bursting open. Best case is the lifespan of the battery is reduced from the heat. Heat is the enemy of lithium batteries. I don't even keep my lawnmower battery in the garage to Greenworks' recommendation.
@dnice8721 Жыл бұрын
This means this is not an option for you just stick with going to the gas station
@matsudakodo Жыл бұрын
@@dnice8721 what. The battery packs going into electric vehicles are specifically engineered for this, but physics is physics, and they still perform worse and degrade faster. Cheaper battery packs in consumer electronics are not even designed for high temperatures and can catch fire.

Someone recommended putting the inflator in an insulated bag and cover with a towel. Anyone heard of this?

Nice unit. Make sure it's allowed to cool down after 10 minutes of running or all of these inflators will cook themselves.
@voo81652 жыл бұрын
How hot did the unit get?
@baseballhunter422 жыл бұрын
5x the price of an average pump and they don't even offer a way to plug into the 12v incase the unit is low on charge. Significantly inferior to the traditional options that you don't have to worry about keeping a charge. Bad recommendation for the majority.

This is great for bikes, or like one tire or maybe two. I own one of these little things, when you use this on two tires it will just about be a dead battery, it also takes about 5-6 mins to go from flat to about 40 psi. Otherwise kind of runs out of battery life a little too fast to be good for long trips where you might actually need it.
@freewilly50732 жыл бұрын
Great tire inflator but if you're looking for something cheaper just get those $20 inflators and get a jump starter that includes a cigarette port adapter. That's how I fill up my tires.

Josh, do you have any contact information for Fanttik. I’ve been trying to reach them to order additional accessories for my inflator. Tried to call and also emailed them but no answer and no response. Thanks
@privatenexus57642 жыл бұрын
One small opportunity you missed. Set the target pressure to below what the actual tire is at, to see if it deflated down to the lower target pressure. I have aftermarket Tire Dog remote tire pressure monitor, Which are just caps that replace the existing caps, so basically fit all cars. Would be a great partner twith this inflator. Its always a hard call if I can bother to pull into service station to get an extra few PSI's, having this unit would mean I could do it whenever I wish, and keep it very close to my target, more of the time.

Most new cars from 2014 and up come with air compressors that have tire sealant in them built in on the opposite side if it's needed and also if not,you can disconnect the hose so it's just air.. How do those come in handy if you get a blowout or a slash on the side wall. Just what if?
