Informative video. Purina and Iams are good choices, plus they are low in calcium and phosphorus, which is important for cats. The small cans make the price for feeding multiple cats excessive. All life stages means there are high amounts of protein, calcium and phosphorus for growing kittens . That is too much for an adult cat, especially an older cat. I am not a fan of feeding dry food only to a cat. Too much grain and carbohydrates. Rachael Ray has corn and rice. It is high in calcium and phosphorus. Hill's is probably the best dry food. I would rotate or mix in some wet food and even some homemade. Royal Canin is too expensive for all of the grains it has. Fancy Feast is high in calcium and phosphorus. Not good for a senior cat.

It’s difficult to find cat food with real meat as the primary ingredient and no byproducts. I dislike the additives in most wet and dry foods. I have begun to supplement my cats dry food with wet dog food with beef as the main ingredient. These cats are very picky about their food. I tried many wet and dry foods. No food is good if the cats don’t eat it. I would like to see healthier cat food with more real turkey, beef, chicken as primary ingredient.

That is horrible to use dog food for cats because it doesn't have taurine in it and cats NEED taurine

Don't feed dog food to a cat. You might try Weruva classic line of wet cat food. All made with real meat, grain free. And it is low in calcium and phosphorus. For dry food, try Now Fresh, grain free and low in calcium and phosphorus as well. It is expensive. A lower cost option is Simply Nourish Urinary Tract and Hairball Control. Low in calcium and phosphorus and affordable. It does have oatmeal and brown rice. You can also add some real ground beef or chicken into their food. Introduce new food slowly by mixing it in with their current food. Good luck.

I try not to buy Purina as they use meat by - products. I recently found some very high end gourmet cat foods in a pet food store, but the cons were VERY HIGH PRICED . FRISKIES too is made w/ by - products, so Crusties is Out. I normally stick to Fancy Feast, although this brand too is costly. WHY did Fancy Feast go up to such an abominable price ???? It's unaffordable, but I get it anyway. I'm going to start making my own wet cat food at home instead. I also can get wet cat food through my insurance company. (they reimburse).... CATS RULE 😻😻😻😻😻😻. I don't much fancy the ingredients in Purina or Friskies. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS IN MY CATS FOOD. AND artificial colors and flavors must be banned, garbage pet foods w/ low nutritional ingredients should be banned as well.🙀🙀🙀

Racheal Ray’s Nutrish pet foods have a disturbing problem. Not all the ingredients are listed on the bag! Even some of the dog food was tested by an independent lab & found canine DNA in the samples tested. Would I want something similar for my cat? NEVER!

CANINE DNA ???????? 😿😿🙀🙀 That could only mean one thing, and that's NOT a good thing. Therefore, THAT needs to be investigated. I'm APPALLED THEY WOULD EVEN TRY THAT ON US PET OWNERS. University of New Mexico studied six dog food brands, published Jan 6, 2023 by the American Chemical Society. All six brands contained from 12 to 17 unlisted ingredients. Two brands included dog DNA. Several brands did not contain ingredients that were listed. The study did not name the brands.
