John from www.discountjuicers.com/ shows you how you can make the best celery juice in the world without using a juicer to get the HIGHEST YIELD and MOST NUTRITION.
In this episode, you will learn how you can use a vacuum blender to make celery juice to get the highest yield and most nutrition.
First, you will learn the benefits of juicing using a vacuum blender, and why it works better than any other method to preserve the most polyphenols and antioxidants. You will learn about the people that taught John about vacuum blending and optimizing the juicing process.
You will learn the best nut milk bag to use when using a vacuum blender to juice, which is made by Blendtec.
You will learn how using a vacuum blender and blending in an oxygen-deprived environment can preserve more anti-oxidant nutrients for you when you drink it, but also available for the juice to prevent further oxidation while in storage.
You will learn about the Periodic Table of Juicing that shares the water percentage and yield you can expect when juicing certain fruits and vegetables as well as some of the parts of the body these produce items may strengthen.
You will get a comparison of the Pure Cold Press Juicer that is touted as the best style juicer to get the highest yield and how you can get a similar yield by using a vacuum blender that is about 4x less expensive.
First, John will juice celery in the Pure Juice juicer so you can learn how long it takes as well as see the process.
Next, you will learn how to juice celery in the Dynapro Vacuum Blender DPS-2250 easily with its auto-programming features that will automatically turn itself off. You will learn how you need to precut the celery properly for vacuum juicing, using the correct programming cycles to blend celery and how to easily extract the celery by straining it out with the Blendtec nut milk/Juice Bag.
You will learn the weight of the pulp that comes out of each extraction method as well as how well broken down it was. You will also discover how much yield each juicing style created.
Finally, John will declare the winner of this juice-off comparison and share with you who he declares the winner of this juice-off comparison.
After watching this episode, you will learn how to vacuum juicing technology can allow you to make the most celery juice that contains the most nutrition and is easy to clean.

Since both the pure and the dynapro are here , what is your take on either pressing the vacuum blended product under the Pure hydraulic press either with the Nutmilk bag or the Pure press bags ? would that work ? either with the nutmilk bag or the press bags , maybe just quickly shaking through a sieve first
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 3 жыл бұрын
@@facemountain Why use the press when you do not need to? Of course if you want to buy a $2300 juicer for what your hands can do in this instance, that is up to you. You could sieve first, but why make the process more complex and have more to clean?

@@discountjuicers Lol just wondering if more nutrients can be extracted if blended for a shorter period of time under vacuum, so it’s not as finely blended . And then pressed under the pure hydraulic press if even the nutmilk bag would be strong enough to take it, if not the pure juicer press bags . if this mastication process under a vacuum pressed under the press would yield the most ultimate juice, as well as yield. as well as less rotations of the blade. To be honest because I already have the Pure, so it makes me curious if this wombo combo would be a cool way of breaking it down and squeezing it through. without the hassle of the pure left side cleaning process + vacuum grinding seems to be less oxidative. a marriage of the two, or it would be pointless or am I on to something if I already would be owning both

It would be cool to see full biochemical analysis (spectrometer etc) of each process scientifically. Some universities might have a lab and some grad students/professors that wouldn't mind collaborating to formally study it. Also could potentially get grant money for it. I appreciate your gardening content and these videos. It would be good if it were less loud (imagine integration of active noise cancelling tech that's now quite affordable to produce) and a streamlined process including cleaning in the future (there have recently been advances in supervised self cleaning machinery for example but that's usually manufacturing/enterprise level. However historically usually those improvements eventually get integrated at retail. Similar with "small batch" application of quality control metrics and systems). The ease of vacuuming for this application looks pretty cool. Excited to see future developments as things progress and it seems like theres going to be a lot of low hanging fruit no pun intended with real improvements for people that like juice. 🖖

Thank you John for sharing the state of the art in juicing. Your videos are both educational and informative. I think taste is important but a nutritional analysis of the juices would quantify the differences in nutrients. In addition, if vacuum juicing is the way to go, it will be just a matter of time before a company will come out with a one step vacuum juicer that does all the pressing automatically. In the mean time, the info in this video is good to know.

Invest in an a Angel Juicer and don’t bother with a blender. Super high yield and best vegetable juice ever. 1kg carrot.1 large cucumber 1 bunch of beetroot, 2 limes and an inch or two of ginger. Gives me around 1.5 litres of perfect juice

That press is impressive! Too big, though... I JUST purchased a brewsky juicer. I like it as it works super fast, it's not annoyingly loud and easily juiced 3 beets, 3 bags carrots, 1 stalk celery, 11 apples, 6 grapefruits, 3 beets, 2 bunches of spinach, some ginger, and a lg. container of mixed greens! I've been juicing 3-4 days a wk., every week since March, and eat 3-4 days. (I used to juice 5 days a week and only ate on the weekends. My desire for food/eating waned as the weeks went by. That was weird...I'm making a long story, short.) Anyway, I'm glad your channel popped up and glad there's someone out there just as passionate about juicing as I am.

You probably should give a quick taste test of the first juice you make in this and other juice-offs. The Pure juice was sitting out oxidizing for several minutes longer than the Dynaprovac juice. You might notice some taste difference because of the longer time sitting in the air while you make the second juice.

I noticed the Pure juicer had 2 different color juices in each of the 2 step processes. 1st color juice in the cup from the 1st step grinding process(3,400 rpms) was lighter then the color of the juice in the 2nd cup used in the 2nd step process of pressing the solid grinds from the 1 step process. Could this be because of the enzymes extracted by the hydraulic pressing? The photo I took from the Pure Juicer 1 step process in comparison to the Dynaprovac wasn't much different. This is leading me to believe part of the overall darkness of the Pure Juicer in part has to do with enzymes and not as much to do with oxidation only. I don't know for sure but I'm just saying from a visual perspective something to be considered.
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers Жыл бұрын
You are quite perceptive. Two factors at play: oxidation and enzymes, they both play a part to degrade juice. Enzymes can react to lower phytonutrients in the juice. Im sure both are at play here. but to what extent is the question.

I know certain blenders are able to make hot soups due to the friction caused while blending and is in fact an advertised feature. Does this blender cause any excess heat buildup when juicing this way?
@discountjuicers
@discountjuicers 3 жыл бұрын
It is not recommended to use vacuum blender to heat up your liquids. IMO it is better to vacuum blend and then put on the stove to heat up your mixture if that is desired. It is not an efficient use of energy to cause enough friction to heat something up, IMO. If juicing for short peroids of time, it doesnt cause a significant heat rise. This blend took about 30 seconds on pulse blend followed by 20 seconds of full blend, so no significant heat rise. Of course, the longer you run the blender, the more it will heat up. Heat may be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. It may reduce enzyme content, but it may also cause some nutrients to be more bio-available. My goal is to run the blender for the least amount of time as possible when juicing in this method.

@discountjuicers 3 жыл бұрын
Each vacuum blender has its own set of pros and cons. First, the blendtec is not available for 90 days from what I am being told, but it may be delayed even longer. We will sell once it is available. If your priority is: 1. sharpness of blade to get a finer blend texture - get the dynapro 2250 2. longest warranty get the dynapro 2250 - blendtec vacuum kit only has 1 year 3. better recipe book get the Dynapro 2250 4. Need something NOW 5/28/21 get the dynapro - blendtec not available for 90 days but might be even longer. 5. Suction power of vacuum - get the blendtec. I have not tested the dynapro pump yet, but feel its not as strong. 6. Warranty Service/ Company Honesty- go with tribest - they have been on the level with me more than blendtec. 7. Durability - I would choose the blendtec, the dynapro 2250 is a new product and it doesnt have a track record yet 8 - Noise - I have not done sound testing between the two, but the dynapro has a sound dampening pad that the blendtec does not 9 Sheer power of blender- I have not compared, but both seem comparable to me from my little use. As you can see each blender has its own set of pros and cons, so it is difficult to say "buy this one". I personally use the $2100 Commercial grade blendtec in my kitchen that IS better than the dynapro at $600, in my opinion, Otherwise wait for my detailed comparison video that will not come out until the blendtec vaccum blender is available, which I dont have a specific date.

There is small amounts of insoluble fiber in the juice, much less than a slow juicer. That being said, it gets the most liquid and soluble fiber out.

Why don't you have a "Patreon account" so we can make donations to you? Is it because this channel is directly associated with "Discount Juicers"? Then set up a new KZbin where you strictly upload tutorials on "How To Juice Property", "Benefits of Juicing", "Best Way to Juice", "Best Way to Operate Machines (without promoting any machines)", "How To Grow Nutritious Produce", "How To Make Nut Butter, Sorbets & Other with Juicers" etc etc. .. Other video ideas could be "Juicers vs Blenders" etc etc etc. Perhaps you could get into benefits of drinking "Herbal Teas". I had the symptoms of C-19 in Dec 2019. I was suffocating, losing my balance and having the most bizarre flu-like symptoms I ever had in my life. I don't even get the flu at all. I usually get sinus infections, sore throats & respiratory tract infections, but never the flu. And there I was in Dec 2019 with these strong and bizarre feeling flu-like symptoms while having much difficulty breathing. I thought I was having some strange-o high blood pressure attack and started juicing fresh organic garlic with water with my Omega 2006. I would use one carrot just to make sure I was able to juice more of the garlic. Got rid of those symptoms in less than 3 days. Just saying Mr. John ...with all the great juicing advice you have to offer, it seems like you deserve to make extra income from your knowledge through donations that you "earned"!! Please consider so that those of us who would like to chip in to supporting your work can do so. I tried to buy a juicer from you, and you were out of stock. *_I had to buy somewhere else._* ... I feel like I cheated you even though I didn't. Being able to make a donation would make people like me who bout a juicer because of you, but couldn't go through your store forcing us to go to a different store, sleep better with a clear conscious. Thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos. Just the work you put into these videos, planning, setting up cameras, setting up microphones, editing, mixing, uploading, etc, alone is deserving of well earned donations to your work!!

Not a chance unless you are using a juicing bag. If you do the math you will see as well as John did is he always 96%. As John mentioned if he had used a spatula and cleaned out the blender jar he would've seen a better yield. Using THE BLENDTEC vacuum blending system that I purchased from John, I am seeing yields between 88% and 92% yield.

Waaaaay too much trouble in both instances. I'd use a standard issue juicer of one type or another, chopping the stalks first, of course. I wouldn't lose sleep over quantity or quality. We eat and juice a wide variety of foods to get all those phytonutrients. Nobody should be depending on celery juice for this or that nutrient.

Do you gave a juicer? I have the omega which wasn't cheap but I rarely use it, lots of pieces and takes a lot of time to put together and wash. Thinking about buying the nama J2 but also confused between a blender (vitamix) or juicer, not sure what's better , blending or juicing. Lol

@@jackienseir There's fans of both, ie, blending and juicing. I'd stick with juicing, but that's just my opinion. I have an old Omega 8001, that's the original of its kind. I find it less work to clean and assemble than my Hamilton Beach spinning-basket type. There is simply no easy way to make juice IMO. Good luck!

Sorry, but where is the big deal of preventing oxidation if the juice is exposed to the air starting the moment the air-remover is removed from the blender? And also the cutting blades of the blender are more efficient in producing a cleaner pop simply because features more cuts per minute than the Pure juicer, which means that it produce more damage to the processed vegetables. The blender could only claim to produce a healthier juice ONLY if it would process vegetables - or whatever fruits is put in it - at a speed below the 80 rotations per minute as it is done by a truly quality juicer. I truly cannot understand le logic behind your presentation! What in the world are you trying to prove?!

IMO the point is that while the CELL walls of the produce are being blown open, oxidation occurs the MOST, in addition oxygen is MIXXED in during Low rpm (but not under vacuum) that will further degrade the juice. Because MORE of the antioxidants are KEPT during the process under vacuum, they are there to PROTECT juice from further oxidation later. When not made under vacuum, lower antioxidants & air mixxed in the juice causes loss of nutrients more quickly. That being said, once you open the vacuum blender, then you expose oxygen to mixture, but it contains MORE antioxidants and little disolved air in the juice to react further. Of course, its important to drink the juice right after you make it in ALL cases, or STORE under vacuum, should you want to store it. I know most people will not understand what I am trying to explain, I will strive to do a better job explaining how this all works, as it is foreign to others, but I have been juicing for 26 years now, and vacuum juicing is a new concept for people to understand, and it took me a while before "I got it". I encourage people to try it, even with a cheap vacuum blender to ETD (experience the difference).
