Thank you for the great video Igor! But what if black move knight to e5 at 7:52 ? You cant grab it via rook-its pinned and you lose a chance to grab the queen if you taking that knight. UPD I missed the fact that its doublecheck and this move is impossible

To be considered is the move order 1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.Nf3 allowing to counter the Petroff Nf6 with 4.e5 Ne4 5.Qxd4 d5 5.exd6 Nxd6 6.Bf4 Nc6 7.Qd2. Critical is 3...Bb4+.

Unfortunately most 1600 ELO players are going to play with a rook which makes it a target that Morphy didn't have to worry about. g6 followed by Bg2 puts a lot of pressure on the a1 rook.

Hey Igor!. I am wondering, would there have been any options that black could have done to actually turn around the game, in any point in whites opening.? that would be a fun thing and something I would have expected to see in the end. keep up the good work!

Igor, I really like your page, I follow it actively. Most often, I go to the playlist and watch the parts that interest me. I have one positive criticism, it seems to me that you paid little attention to the endings on the channel, any beginner (below 1500 elo) has to face this perhaps the most important part of the game, because all this bunch of openings and tactics are for nothing if you don't know how to win the winning game. Of course, the openings are also an important part of the game, but to begin with the player shouldnt "satiate" himself with too many openings (there are a few to know, mostly Open Game, gambits), the endings are more important. My Elo exploded when I committed to this part of the game. Many players even with 2000 elo have big problems in elemental endings. Pracite endgame every day for raise Elo.
