Really Milwaukee not the most powerful and prone to burn outs. Dewalt flex Volt is a better circular saw

Correct. The biggest Milwaukee battery against the mid sized dewalt battery.

Hello Pro Tools, The Bosch 7 1/4 Pro Factor saw I feel should have been included in the testing. I use my Bosch saw with an 8amp battery and have excellent results. Please put some thought it in future testing. Thank you for the video.

My Craftsman experience with power tools ended in the 1980's. Every power tool I had had major failures from poor quality checks. Missing bearing, bad switch, weak casting, etc. They had their chance.

Ryobi got screwed on this test. All these other saws using their top line, largest battery. Ryobi was stuck with a 4aH. It would have been fair to use the 8 or 9 aH. It wouldn’t have beaten out Milwaukee but at least it would have been a more fair test

It doesn’t matter that much. That Ryobi circ saw is a piece of garbage. Ryobi makes a few good tools but they just can’t seem to figure out how to make a circular saw to save their lives.

I noticed you left out Bosch and Hercules, I will stick with my 60 volt Dewalt. Skil is the most overlooked brand. I have some of their 12 volt tools, love them. And would have gotten Skills 40 volt(20volt *2) 7.25 circular saw, but it came out a few weeks after I bought the Dewalt 60 volt worm style saw.

I’ve handled corded and cordless saws for years in framing and trim carpentry, the corded makita was always the easiest to use with great power and nothing ever felt as comfortable. Tried many brands for weeks, and when I say me and the 60 year old framers knew right away using the Dewalt flexvolt saw that this was going to be our full time saws moving forward, I mean we knew right away. Closest thing to perfection

@hammerheartdan6311
@hammerheartdan6311 Ай бұрын
Yeah, friend of mine took advantage of that same deal. He brought it over and I set up a little rig to test it out on 2x8 and see how it does vs my Milwaukee fuel 2732 saw and I must say the flex rear handle is very smooth and powerful. Both saws cut as fast as the other but once I push unnecessarily hard on my M18 saw, it stalls out, the flex doesn’t. Mind you I already used my saw quite a bit and the flex had a fresh blade but still impressive.

Hmmm seeing that Metabo hpt it's using a older style battery being compared to the forge batteries it still outperformed the Milwaukee in some tests where it dnf on. It Ran right through the middle of the pack on most test and even surpassed Hilti twice. This saw is literally 107 right now on Amazon. Under value value. But one thing to notice it has a larger 2 7/16 depth of cut. Which i know Milwaukee depth of cut tends to be on the shallower side so i want to see all the depth of cuts compared. I find the sightline things really weird on these years. I cannot say i like Milwaukee sightlines as i have that saw.

So metabo hpt uses the old model saw, which their new one that is like 4 months old now, has like 30% more power. Ryobi was tested with a 4ah 2p battery with 18650 cells, when they offer the 8ah 2p and 12ah 3p that uses 21700 cells. Even ridgid, a mechanical sibling to the ryobi, was tested with the 8ah 2p 21700 cell battery. This is just out of the brands I'm familiar with. I don't know much about makita 40v, hilti or skil, but now this makes me question their results too, like is there a newer model or notably better battery that wasn't tested with?

I have a question what if you swap batteries of another maker with adapters, would that change saw performance?
@braedenlegge
@braedenlegge Ай бұрын
Not really. Tools brands have computers inside their tools and batteries to communicate how much power the battery can send. So unless they speak the same language, you won't get as much power as if it was the same brand where they talk to each other.

I can't see a battery operated saw superior over corded, lol. I guess if you're on a job site all day, but you still need hydro to keep charging batteries. Plus the cost of having enough batteries to keep working all day. I prefer my corded which hasn't cost a cent more since its purchase.

@@juanc5149it’s cause Milwaukee has surpassed the competition for the last 5 years. Theres a reason why they dominate all other power tool brands in North America. By every measurable margin TTI out sells and out preforms Stanly Black and decker and Makita in every respective trim level of tool. From the DYI budget tools to the heavy duty professional grade tools TTI dominates.

I am in a shootout of the Makita 36 or 40 volt Milwaukee worm drive Hilti sc 36 worm drive As a carpenter going cordless. I learned dewalt is an apprentice tool that is good enough many HVAC use them Milwaukee is for plumbers and electricians a very good warranty Makita is a carpenter grade tool with weaker warranty only 3 years Hilti isexpert class tool with 20 year warranty that all tool test have it near the bottom in testing . Wonder why a tool with near lifetime warranty prefoms poorly I own DeWalt, Bosch , Makita Milwaukee cordless, have seen and friend asked if knew cordless drill could catch on fire? Tool test at VCG construction shows the tools problem that needs attention. To buy cheap tools is more costly I learned burned up two drills in a year changed brands lasted approximately ten switched to contractor grade tools still using them all yet have been used on long days, been operating in dusty environments, for several years still work like new.

My experience as a contractor, Makita has terrible sightlines, they moved the motor forward to make more compact, Milwaukee too heavy and heats up and cuts out because it is taxing the 18 volt system to hard ,I have been using the Dewalt Flexvolt dcs 575 for around 6 years ,it is the best in every way .

No Bosch? Are the manufacturers providing the tools? Or is the channel going out and buying these saws for the test? And Milwaukee as the Best Overall is an interesting choice since its suggested to upgrade the battery immediately after purchase to get the best performance out of it.

These are all mostly stationary saws. Why should you go cordless? Into a workshop, i would work only corded. Never have to worry about charging batteries. Maybe the dual power battery and corded saws. But only battery, is a big no for me.

@user-du6op6qx5s Ай бұрын
@engineer_alv exactly. Laptops, portable cameras have been dual power since the 80's. I guess they just want us to go out and buy new stuff. Cause battery is dispensible but corded is for life. Dual battery though is a game changer.
