I've owned or used a lot of cordless saws, from Festool, to Makita, to Dewalt 60V, I settled on a new Flex 24V inline saw with Blade to left side, best ballance and SUPERB Power, great line of sight, and battery lasts all day!

I think I’ve had a string of bad luck with their batteries or something. I’ve ended up with a bunch of them over time and I find they die super fast in cold weather. My biggest issue with them though is whenever they completely die it can take up to days for them to start taking a charge again. I also hater the inline saw when I bought it, the ergonomics just didn’t do it for me. This is just my opinion but if you ever get a chance to try the 7 1/4 Metabo rear handle, it’s the best I have used by far. I’ve owned them all, quite literally, and for my money that’s the winner. Take care fellow tool enthusiast,

Good video, as always. I just picked this saw up unexpectedly - I was in the market for a Super Sawzall, and Home Depot made an offer I couldn't refuse. A Super Sawzall, dual charger, circular saw and 4 Forge 8AH batteries later, I have some cordless red to go next to my cordless yellow. I'm battery format loyal, not brand loyal, as long as the quality is right.

@jmpersic4 ай бұрын
Seems promising. I have a love-hate relationship with my current gen2 saw. My biggest problems are it won't clear a speed square at max depth (is that fixed?), the depth lock nut never seems tight enough, and the switch is incredibly prone to dust interference, requiring me to soak in contact spray on occasion or it's dead. Drives me nuts.
@ConcordCarpenter4 ай бұрын

Interested to try it out. I've always found Milwaukee saws to have a kind of loose and crude feeling and so have always gone with other brands when it comes to saws even though I have mostly M18. Looks like they sort of ripped off the Flex guard and led design, which is nice, but unfortunately not the side ejecting dust port.

I would also like to know where Milwaukee comes up with there stats? From what they are claiming it has about 30 percent more power and cuts about 30 percent faster then the Dewalt. And about 50 percent on a corded one. Not even close, I have all 3 of them. This new Milwaukee cuts out on rips easier then the others. They are soooo FOS. "Milwaukees new M18 super charger with that active cooling technology" a fan... a fan is what they put in there, a little 1 dollar computer fan, and they spin it as pioneering, futuristic. As for the saw, why did it take such a well established brand 16 years to make the blade guard flare out 10 degrees to make it slightly better at not catching when you do small rip cuts??? I have got a tonne of Milwaukee M18 woodworking tools & tbh I am done with Milwaukee. The electronics inside are absolute garbage junk & the cost of replacing them when they fail (which is frequent & well known) is almost the same as buying the complete tool new. My Circular Saw has died & not worth fixing. 18ga gasless nailer absolutely junk can't sink pins & went in for warranty repair 3 times in it's limited 12 month UK warranty. M18 Surge Impact electronics failed & has no torque replacement part is almost same as new saw. DAB radio died after less than 1 month. Combi Drill repaired under warranty. M18 Fuel Impact electronics failed & repaired under warranty. M12 battery dead after 2 months replaced under warranty. These reviews are great advertising, but they need to be followed up in 1yr, 2yr & 3yr to see how they held up & I guarantee a large percentage have died or been repaired.

Cordless tools excell at one thing, which is seperating you from your money. Ive been using cordless since the 7v makita system, ive used 9v, 12v, 14v, 18v, and 20v. I've been running Milwaukie since they came out with their m18 platform. They're junk. I've been through 5 circular saws, a few sawzalls, 3 or 4 impacts, a few drills, a couple jigsaws and many batteries. The tools don't last, they are expensive, the batteries are expensive and dont last. $250 for a battery big enough to run my circular saw.is stupid, especially when I need two batteries to get through the day. Ive gone back to the cord for my saws and bigger tools. I will keep running cordless for my drill and impact. Im tired of overpriced, junk tools. My corded circular saw is lighter and more powerful and doesn't need $250 batteries. It lasts longer too.

I still think the DeWalt 54v sets the benchmark, I don't know of any saw with that power and only uses 1 battery. 18v machines are marginally smaller and lighter but circular saws are usually always supported by the material that you're cutting so I don't see those as a problem, it's always about power, cutting depth, and runtime.
