I bet that the Hercules was engaging the clutch and not the hammer. Its drill mode is probably just the tightest clutch setting and it activated when the drill binded while drilling the hole. Also, I would have liked to see a torture test to see in the Hercules can hang with the Milwaukee for longevity. Short term performance isn't everything.

How is the run time with the FORGE batteries? Just got this exact grinder with the 12.0 Forge It’ll be a couple of days until I use it but that’s been my worrry about run time compared to corded.

The only thing I noticed is that herc was on the standard pack, not the extreme performance 4.0ah pack. I'm not sure it would win but I'd bet it would be very close. I know Milwaukee could then also move up but it is still less then 1/2 the price for herc.

Got that $99 deal for a 20v 8Ah battery sale at Harbor Freight. They threw in the 20V Hercules 1/2in Compact Hammer Drill for free!! For the homeowner/DIY it's a great deal (for a tradesman stick with the Red Machine).

I bought a EGO 530 before Christmas as a replacement of my 20v that’s 15 years old. For light duty, 60’ patio,60’ deck, front porch etc. the 530 has nice features it did not come with a nozzle for the end or the tube. And once I installed the battery it is Heavy and not so Well balanced ! So I hope This Comparison video will guide me to what I’m looking for.

I own tools from both of these brands. On tools I use frequently, I go team red. For the stuff I use more seldom I don't mind going Hercules. They really are "good enough" if you only use them a couple times a month... and when they have their big sales at HF you can get them for dirt cheap - like the portable band saw with 5AH battery and charger I got a short while ago for all of $100.

I bought a Husqvarna push mower what 4 years ago now. I hate it .... I'm sure it's just the nanny state regulations but I'm sick of it's low reving motor. It sucks blowing out grass and sucks baging, and because the engine revs so low hit a thick spot of grass and you're all ready close to choking the engine. I think if I'm honest I'm tired of any push mower I've bought since 1996. I want a throttle lever so I can set the engine speed I want.

$199 vs roughly $50 haha but I like them both. Grabbed a Hercules 4 tool kit on Ebay for $130 with the impact and 2 batteries because that's just dirty cheap with two 5.0s.

I’ve noticed this over several years with HF versus other tool companies. That they can do the work to an extent, but mainly slower one of my buddies had been using an HF grinder for I don’t know how many years and he only replaced it with a Milwaukee, because his buddies at work. Kept giving him crap about taking a little bit longer to do the job. He works in an industrial shop repairing semi trucks.

The speed is worth a LOT more money when the tool is what you use for an income. That said, this drill and impact they have out now are almost unnoticeably slower. When it comes to an angle grinder, I bet the Milwaukee is 3-4 times faster than an old HF model.

"Made in America" only means assembled here. Assembly can be with completely foreign made parts, by a company completely foreign owned. Marketing is like corrupt government, it's all about altering the definitions.

Hi, Thank you for the fantastic test videos you’ve created-they’ve been incredibly helpful! I was wondering if you might consider doing a test on the best circular saws with dust collection. A comparison of dust collection capabilities across various brands would be incredibly useful for many viewers. Thank you for considering this idea, and keep up the great work!

Just a Heads-Up if you're considering a Paslode fuel cell nail gun whether it's a framing nailer or finish nailer. I bought both a few years ago and was pretty happy overall. You do have to clean them fairly regularly in order for them to function and you need to make sure your fuel cells are not out of date. I initially got both when I built an addition on my house but now being a weekend warrior and volunteer I don't use them as often. MY BAD according to Paslode. They no longer provide fuel cell cartridges for either of my guns. They replaced the cells with new ones that have a different adapter on them. For a very short period of time Paslode provided a new adapter to use with my older guns with the newer fuel cells *(the only ones you can now get). If you didn't buy the newer fuel cells with the included adapter for the older Paslode guns you are out of luck. Paslode only provided the adapters for their new fuel cell cartridges for older Paslode guns for a short time. They no longer include the adapters and there is NO WAY to get them. After calling customer support multiple times you are pretty much SOL. You can have a great working, cleaned and lubricated older Paslode gun but no access to fuel cells that work with them. How about them apples? SO JUST BEWARE if they did it once to all of us that previously purchased their older guns there's no telling how willing they'll be to screw you over in the future with even newer and better fuel cell cartridges that won't work with the current Paslode guns they sell. The customer is always right is not something in their vocabulary. So I will never be purchasing Paslode products in the future based on them not providing fuel cells or newer fuel cells with adapters to work on older guns. U N B E L E I V A B L E ! ! ! How hard would it be for them to provide the adapters to older Paslode gun owners??? Seriously?!?!? Check out the Paslode forums to see that many of us got screwed by Paslode. as I guess they want you to throw away your older working guns to buy their newer guns. S T A Y A W A Y from companies that do that to you. Not a Happy Paslode Camper!

Just bought mine today, amazing tool!! Online you can get it for $19.99 - $39.99 I paid $40 at my local city mill, I’m a huge Milwaukee fan but when I only needed a simple powerful power screwdriver for light work… Milwaukee m4 screwdriver is $179… I chose the cheaper option only because I didn’t wanna have to bust out my m12 drill for a simple task, and my screwdriver always go missing so this was the best cheap option, I’m happy, tested one wooded 2x4 frames and it took out those screws with ease!! Plus all the attachments make it an awesome multi tool!!!

Why, in ANY GAWDS name, are all of the saws for lefties??? Just like most track saws out there. Sure, as carpenters, most of us are ambidextrous. But ffs this is ridiculous. Perhaps I'm missing something. Is there a right and left hand of each model? If there is, I'm not seeing any. ..... WHY?

I have had a Flex for a year and it is very strong but the batteries do not last. Of the 5 batteries I have, none of them work anymore. I took one apart out of curiosity and it was as if something inside had melted. And they are very expensive.

It runs on a lithium battery I’m assuming? My experience with lithium batteries is you’ll have full power at 80-100% but once the battery starts losing voltage, you no longer have that power. Or is this device found a way around that?

For the most part, li-ion gives you consistent power across the entire range of charge. The exception is that you get a very brief (less than a minute) "peak" voltage before it settles into the nominal voltage output.
