I have Hyundai Atos from year 2000. My whole family used to go to seaside with it (800Km from Serbia to Greece), all 5 of us. Boot is big enough for 3+1 soft bags (3 lenghtwise and one across over them) + 2 smaller ones over wheel arches , and some clutter can fit under boot around spare wheel. There was even room for parasol.

My mother had a Hyundai Atos 2000. Very nice car, a lit of space for its size, very efficient with fuel consumption,. Very reliable car, cheap maintenance, cheap tax and insurance, and when it was time for me to buy a used car, i was in dilemma, buy the Atos or the Accent? I bought the Accent 2004 model. Both of them were in excellent condition, their price was the same, so i bought "more car" for the price.

Having owned both a Matiz and arosa, I can tell you a few things about this review, the first is that he isn't comparing them to each other but more reviewing them as though they weren't the cheapest cars on the market at the time, especially with the space thing, they're small cars what do you expect? This was also filled with massive inaccuracies, not a fair comparison

Arosa is basically re-badged VW Lupo, so why not get a Lupo instead? Also, its tasteless. Its like wearing white tank top and thinking you're different from the others. Bullshit. Matiz? wtf. Seicento? Good looking, fuel efficient, mini hot-hatch with lively engine, that loves to rev. Remember, that you need to feel good in a car. What kind of emotions will Arosa deliver? Sinking in a wallpaper glue? Matiz? Being different is a nice thing, but being hideous... not much. Seicento? Again, its great.

Daewoo Matiz - best of the three for 4 adults and a small amount of shopping / luggage plus easier access to front / rear with 4 doors, Seat Arosa - poor choice, tiny boot, extremely restricted legroom in useless rear seats, not a good choice to carry adult passengers in the rear due to cramped legroom, Fiat Seicento - again poor for rear legroom / bootspace, weird pedal placement, not very comfortable at all.

Few people know a particular: the Matiz was born as a proposal for Fiat (see Fiat Lucciola based on Fiat Cinquecento). Fiat refused it, Giugiaro proposed it to Daewoo who wanted to produce it with 5 doors. Essentially, the Fiat management made a suicidal decision: a small Fiat MPV (bigger than Matiz) went to the market only in 2003 (Fiat Idea, Punto mk2 based) always from Giugiaro

I bought a mk1 Ford Ka over those 3. 1.3 engine so pretty powerful for its size, boots quite large compared to them 3. Its only a 4 seater but the rear seats have great leg room. I really fail to understand the importance of "second-hand value" for cars. If you buy a car consider your money gone, you have the car you want in return. If you get something when/if you sell it, it's a bonus. Just enjoy your car while you have it, stop wondering what you will get selling it. Just take care of it.
@letsdiscussitoversometea8479Ай бұрын
That's all well and good if you see no reason for ever needing to sell it in the future, but of course, circumstances outside of one's control can affect this decision. Road pricing, for example. Yes - there may be lawful entitlements to not pay, however the aggravation involved could become problematic, whereas with an alternative, this might not be an issue. The best car I believe one can ever have, is the one that they design and build for themselves. Everything else is subject to manufacturer conditions.
