Thank you for the video. It is nice to hear the "best" voice as I have a few classes and one boost to 110. I'm trying to decide between my mage and my rogue. The nice thing about a mage is the footwork is less stressful. So if I want to take a break from avoiding all the foot mechanics I can kick back. However, I've played BfA now for a month and the new AI / mechanics are crazy and it just seems a Rogue has more control options. Mages rely on the AI of there pet and I doubt if Blizzard increased the pet AI.

Unless they removed Feint and Cloak in bfa which I highly doubt I have to disagree with your point that they would only be really important for threat. Rogues are some of best dps in raiding because of their defensive capabilities. Why do you think on some bosses they bring like 6 rogues on progress.

I've always had rogue as my main because in all the MMos I have played I like assassin classes. As far as best class depends on your preference. but for me rogue is the best because they are, as you said, good in all aspects of the game. good pve/pvp/raid/dungeons/solo/and warmode in BFA. Also I noticed you mentioned outlaw, but assassination has gotten better with bleed damage. All you have to do to beat an enemy is bleed them up with all your dot damage, stealth, then wait for them to get low and stun lock them to death.

I would like to counter your "Melee" is favored in M+ with, Affi warlocks, boomy druids, mages ( any spec ) & ele shamans for when burst aoe is needed. Also ranged is better when dealing with sanguane or skittish since the ranged classes give tanks time to regain agrro.

I’ve been playing Beta pretty much since the release and Rogues are definitely up there. Only thing I don’t like about Outlaw is the new 2 charges of blade flurry, and the duration only being for 12 seconds. In higher mythic keys when you need a strong aoe class and the mobs have a ton of health I think this will be a problem. I think Blizz needs to extend the duration to around 20 seconds. Blade dance helps some, but it’s only a 3 second increase and a small damage increase. Survival is actually the best dps class I’ve played so far. People keep saying “hybrid” but in all it’s just one talent that gives you some range options and that’s aspect of the eagle. It allows your Raptor strike to hit up to 40 yards away for 12 seconds. It’s definitely going to need a buff to compete with the top of the meters. Very fun class though. Monk feels about the same as it was on live. Very few changes but a very smooth rotation. Good choices for all of them. Survival, Rogue, Monk. In that order.

I think I’m comparison both have pros and cons. I think rogue had a more on-demand fast burst for a strong opening and with cloak of shadows they can avoid cc while going for the kill. Vanish allows one to “hit and run”. But hunter with camo would be very fun too in world pvp

I ended up choosing rogue, with druid and mage main-alts. Will also be playing monk, warlock, and basically everything else as alts for fun. But focusing on rogue, druid and mage so that I have the penultimate melee, caster, and hybrid class available to me

Frost was the only spec that really felt good for me. I did enjoy the changes to frost especially with ur available pvp talents for war mode, leveling up as frost will be super quick. Mages will be in a good spot, I’m just unsure how I feel about arcane. If u enjoy pvp I think u will have a blast as frost

Pretty solid choices! In world pvp the warlock may be a bit less versatile than hunter or rogue but if u don’t really plan on world pvp then it prob won’t matter. Very often warlocks are in high demand in many arena comps consistently since like BC, well a lil less popular in legion

I would wait to boost. The pre patch comes out soonish. I would wait more to research it cuz u may not like rogue. If u do go rogue it depends what racials u want like if u r going to pvp or pve. And most classes have dps increase racials. Kind of a hard decision lol. Wish I could have answered ur question better

I agree that stealth helps A LOT in many soloing and PVP situations. Which is why Monks should also be able to do it. Call it soul walking or something Chi like. It should also let them walk on water. Give monks cool stuff damn it!!!

I will start with DH, then leveling a rogue using one of the new allied races(Dark iron /Kul tiran). Being able to level all the way up in war mode will be a blast.

If you're going to pick a dps pure you're probably better off simply calling it the 'best DPS option' since its apple to oranges to compare roles which you do acknowledge at the start, but then you ignore role differences. Having role versatility is a significant plus for a lot of people. You also talk about current beta damage, which is largely irrelevant since numbers tuning is far from finished. Most of your general points about the class as a whole and their utility are good.

But this video is more about your opinion you know, just because you like rogue doesn't mean it's the best class. Other players may look for different things in their mains. I'm stricly a dps and arena player who enjoys m+ and raiding if it's with friends. I'm going rogue now when windwalker is just a shadow of it's former self (pvp wise). However i'm keeping an eye on monks and ferals as beta is rapidly ending in the next 1 month. But rogue is a good bet and it's what I got my 2400 enchants with in February with hunter, monk both at 2350 and another dk, enhance, feral at 2000. I want to avoid alting and in Legion I played rogue in the last year only and I want to avoid that and if I could replay Legion I would've stuck to outlaw from the very start.

I completely understand that! Yeah beta is almost done, I’m really curious how feral will be in the competitive environment. For outlaw I wish they would move away from the RNG roll buff, that was the reason I didn’t play outlaw in legion, but also it added a bit more skill requirement, knowing which buffs where fine to have or when to reroll for buffs, at least in pvp I feel like it wasn’t a very straight forward thing

Warrior is hard to get away from. I was actually debating maining one for this expat originally. Hunter specs all feel great tho I think that’s a solid choice. Fury for warrior did get a really nice rework

Marks playstyle was awful legion 100%. But survival was weird as well. Was just an overall odd expansion for hunters lol.

Survival was an experiment though, and has some leeway in that regard. The butchering of Marksmanship was completely uncalled for, and I don't know what they were even thinking. Damage windows are rarely ever fun, the only fun damage window I can think of, is Demonic on Havoc.

Playing the beta, as far as solo content goes, I think DH is by far the best class. You can pull an entire village at once and kill them all in 2 attacks that have about a minute cooldown.

I would have assumed druid would've been a choice. I plan to play druid on both factions cause of their new look. I haven't played BfA beta so maybe the gameplay for them sucks. Druid play in Legion was solid.

I didn’t really enjoy feral (just cuz lack of changes) and resto. I’m kind of biased towards boomy as I never really enjoyed the specs play style but I have always loved guardian. And I agree the new skins are insane for both kul tirans and zandalari. Pretty pumped for those!

The capability to change spec for one the group or raid need the most it's always very good and make you more important for the group, i not saying for you don't go rogue , go all the way , i love rogue specially outlaw because of the gameplay and fantasy , i really like sub and i don't mind play assassination, but if my group need a tank or healer i can't do nothing about that like if i was a Paladin, a Warrior or a DH for example ( one of this 3 will be my main xD ) but if you love rogue go for it, because the " Real Best Class " is the one we like to play and have fun with it

Rogue = the coward class. I hate how 90% of rogues in cbg's just sap you and wait till their friend(s) appear, then stunlock you while dps'ing with 2+ or taking you down with a pocket healer up their ass. Haven't had a lot of fair 1on1 fights with rogues and the times when I do they likely use vanish and run away to return with numbers. Rogue is one of my least played classes in Legion and it will be in BFA as well. I prefer skill over hiding. Most fun classes during Legion for me have been Druid (tank and healer), Deathknight (all specs) and Mage (all specs). I haven't played them on the PTR, but I think chances are I'll main one of those 3 again in BFA.

I’m really liking frost mage on the beta for pvp. Sadly for Druid most of changes were just too boomkin. Was hoping to see some changes to feral.

Raiding has been my focus since vanilla and have played a healer for over 14 years now, so I'm most likely to main a druid (again) with either a mage or a warlock as secondary or very maybe the Deathknight which is the only melee class I really enjoy. From 7.2.5 I've also had some good time with Mistweaver Monk. It's a fun healing class, but the fact I pretty much hated Brewmaster tanking...I doubt I'll ever pick it as a main. In general I dislike playing as a melee mainly because I cba to look at a boss' but 99% of the time. I'm OK with tanking once in a while (tanking raids that are on farm status when our main tank didn't sign). I've never really cared about PvP in the game (RPG's simply are not designed for it - it has always been group vs dungeon master ever since D&D table top was invented - yes I am old in gaming terms). The only reason I participate in it is the PVP set for transmog.

Understandable. I agree brewmaster has not been a very fun class. Mistweaver is actually my favorite healing class on the beta and I’m usually a resto shaman healer. I think in pve ive always liked melee because for most of them, optimal dps is easy to do where as many ranged have a little bit more to pay attention to (as mostly a pvper, I’m lazy in pve lol)

Jburtonsemo lol, yeah ranged does need to move more often in PvE, affecting ideal dps to some extent. I prefer getting to know those fights and optimising my cd's around that movement. 😉

I didn't really enjoy the video because you keep mentioning what the class can do and not why its good in pvp for that xpac, we understand rogues can sap and stealth, its been like that for 14 years, I feel like we didn't really need explanations like that. First of all, I watched the video because I thought it was going to be more of a comprehensive subjective video going over many classes and narrowing it down based on strengths/weaknesses, which it didn't. Second, I fully expected him to say which class he thought was best, I just disagreed based on my own experience. Well Best ...and then rogue just doenst fit sorry...Its a hybrid class obviously. Either Paladin, Druide, Shaman or Monk. How can a Rogue be the best class ? it offers besides damage nothing. I personally like Priest and Rogue but if i had to recommend the best class to a beginner i would pick Druide, Monk or Shaman.
