I'm from a different generation of music and seldom have I see a talent that wrote/sang songs so simple and brilliant one moment and so stale and unoriginal the next. This is one of their best - a haunting song you can feel as much as hear. Their original low-fidelity garage rock that got them on the music map seems to have been abandoned and now they're little different from a thousand other bands out there. In those old days you could blame it on the record companies for pressuring artists to generate low quality "fillers" to complete a record contract. Now that's not the case - it's just bad music. I hope Best Coast finds their way back.
